Senator Barack Obama miserably failed the test concerning the foundational world view issue. Without the right to life, there are no other rights. Rights attach to persons and abortion kills little persons. Without the freedom to be born, there are no other freedoms. When Senator Obama was asked about the humanity of the child in the womb, he said that such a question was above his pay grade. Oh, he then blathered on about their being a moral and ethical dimension to the issue. However, he then stated unequivocally I am pro-choice, I believe in Roe v Wade. He mouthed something about reducing abortions but the utter clarity of the moment was the highlight of the evening. The pastor, this man of purpose, followed through with this question, Have you ever voted to limit abortions? Barack Obama was, for the first time in my viewing, at a loss for words. Because the truth is now out there and he knew he could not lie about it.
Senator John McCain on the other hand, hit a home run in the eyes of people like me who insist that the issue of respecting the dignity of every human life from the womb to the tomb is not a single issue but rather a World View issue in Pastor Warrens terminology. The same question was posed to him, At what point is a baby entitled to human rights. John McCains answer came without any hesitation. Obviously such an incredibly important answer was not above his pay grade. He said it with conviction, From the moment of conception. He continued on by affirming to the Pastor, to all those assembled and to the thousands watching, that he has a 25 year record of being Pro-life and that he will be a Pro-life President...

I doubt they have the gonads to do so, but the McCain campaign sure does.
Did you listen to this? When asked that question the one word out of McCain’s mouth was
“Conception”
PS. I am also aware of his stand on embryonic stem cell research. I believe he will change his mind on this like he did the OCS drilling.
1.Mother Teresa handing you the child you would adopt
2.Sharing a silent moment in the hell called the Hanaoi Hilton, with your enemy on Christmas morning.
In this day of YouTube producers, I'm hoping to see some independent efforts spring up on the internet.
**McCain was incredibly animated, informed, passionate and clear in his answers**
That does away with the “age” issue, then, doesn’t it? LOL!
As bad as his actions have been concerning the destruction of human persons who are at the embryonic stage of life, that is only the tip of the iceberg.
McCain’s got a whole bunch of folks who call themselves “pro-life” on a very slippery slope.
And based on what? The empty words of a politician who has done more to destroy the conservative pro-life movement over the last decade than any other.
Religious Voters Favor McCain, Poll Claims
Sen. McCain holds private meeting with Archbishop Chaput
John McCain's Remarks on Abortion in Speech to National Pro-Life Convention
McCain campaign plans very aggressive outreach to Catholic voters
Don’t count out a landslide for McCain. Could happen.
Although this did not get a lot of viewership (due to Saturday evening, and the biggest Olympic event in 40 years), it will get disseminated through the Catholic and Evangelical rank and file over the next weeks and months. Also this will help bring the core republicans, especially conservatives “home” to McCain.
McCain has done a lot right in the last 3-4 weeks. It is starting to show in the polls. Now he has got to pick a slam dunk VP, have a great convention, hit the road into Middle America, and don’t stop until Novemeber. He’ll clean up on Obama during the debates. By Mid-October, McCain will be 5-6 points ahead in every poll. I think he will carry all the Bush States, plus a few extras.
No way, will 50% of Americans vote for someone with such minimal experience as Obama.
I watched it twice and he named 4. Kennedy wasn’t in that.
Let's just wait and see if there is blood in the streets. And burning garbage cans and buildings. It's the 40th anniversary of Chicago in '68 you know.
Am I supposed to be impressed by ongoing deception of good Christian folk? Sorry, I’m not.
I post them on all Obama threads that I see, but I will make it my goal to post them on 100% of them. :)
I’m honored. :)
You nailed it. Such an perceptive summary that fits into the Tagline field (with attribution!) is not to be ignored.
CNN is rerunning it - not sure of the time - but a thread is here on FR about it - just search for CNN and it should take you to the thread.
It means he was being dishonest and he knew it when he spoke them.
