Anti-Obama and right-wing bloggers have been throwing more and more criticism against the wall to see what sticks. One of their more fanciful charges is that the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, born in Hawaii in 1961, is not a U.S. citizen and therefore cannot be elected president.
In the face of Internet insinuations that the Illinois Senator was actually born somewhere outside the U.S. and therefore does not fall within Article II of the Constitution ("A natural born Citizen") and the 14th Amendment, Barack Obama's campaign has posted a copy of his birth certificate on its rumor-discrediting Web site, www.fightthesmears.com. But that still isnt good enough for some skeptics.
Some Web chatterers question the authenticity of the document, pointing to the lack of a state seal on the online copy. Some also suggest a black rectangle (a redacted identification number, obscured by the state for security reasons) hides something more revealing.
Earlier this week The Honolulu Advertiser reported that Hawaii's Department of Health receives requests weekly for a copy of Obama's birth certificate. [It was their concern about the unending requests that prompted the Obama campaign to take action.]
Officials said that under the law only people with a "tangible interest" (parents, spouses or other relatives, or the subjects themselves) could obtain a copy.

Then Again, CBS are real experts when it comes to identifying legitimate documents, aren't they?
Hey Polarik, CBS is calling us liars.
Seems like our theory is starting to gain some traction if the MSM is attempting to discredit it.
I think they'd Rather not say.
CBS the experts in fake but accurate.
Fake, but accurate.
Not too hard to post a certified copy along with a signed affidavit. Could interview the HI gov’t officials if Obe gave his permission. Why drag it out (timewise)?
I guess us citizens don't have a tangible interest in assuring that this jive turkey is eligible to run.
Well, this is progress, SeeBS is acknowledging that it’s a real issue to the non-moonbats.
It's a fake. Everyone knows it's a fake. They guy that made it admits it's a fake.
The question is does it contain the same information the real birth certificate does? Nobody knows that because Obama refuses the produce the real thing.
Personally, I think we have many other reasons to not vote for Obama in this election. We shouldn’t put all our eggs into the birth certificate basket while not discussing the other reasons.
The article is a light weight, air ration. It’s nothing. IT says nothing, reports nothing. The reporter basically took the Obama methodology and attacked the messengers rather than look into the matter.
Sorry, no seal, no identification number on the birth certificate? So what? Who cares?
November cannot come fast enough.
This guy is the worst, most unqualified candidate who has ever run for the office of president in my lifetime.
If he is elected, or even carries more than a few states, then something is dreadfully wrong here.
“Obama Birth Certificate Fuss “Ridiculous” (CBS Chimes in)”
It is ridiculous if it can be disproven. The valid question is “why hasn’t it been?”.
Oh yeth - the CBS document experts yet again ... like they should know what a real one is ... bring back Dan Rather so he can verify it on TV ....
CBS - Documents are real when we say they’re real
So, let me get this straight? CBS is afraid that the egobama's birth certificate is a forgery?
Obama has?????? All I see is a 'Certification of Live Birth' that has numbers blacked out, no stamped seal and no evidence of any authorized signitures. Why does the media keep telling bold face lies. Even if this document was not forged, without the stamp and signature, the Document is not a legitimate state document. Obama has stated in his book, he found his original birth certificate. Produce it then, and not some phony recreated document.
