Well Pelosi (for whatever power she thinks she has in the senate) said yesterday they weren't worried about kicking Lieberman to the curb because they were going to gain enough seats to overcome that. Bayh would be another loss for them. I think they better be careful about being so confident.

I have no idea why Bayh is so worrisome to you. The man is a total flake. As I said yesterday, I bet he drinks Tab.

I hope your post was sarcasm. King Bill is my governor, and I am proud to be a red-neck white person and know many other red-neck white people- they/we /didn’t/don’t/won’t vote for King Bill so I am not sure what you meant??

I can’t think of any possible VP pick that would get Obama the red-neck white vote, but King Bill sure won’t get it.

he has solid foreign-policy experience

Richardson has an incredible knack to f*** up anything his is involved with. I'd hardly call that "solid". It's like when Ribbentrop was made foreign minister to England. Hitler said it was because Ribbentrop knew Lord so and so, and Lord so and so. Goering said, the problem is that they know Ribbentrop.

The guy is safe if not exciting. And BO cannot afford any more slips and Richardson has made many many silly remarks lately. It is really McCain’s pick that will decide the turnout. If McCain thinks he can dis conservatives once more, he will have not only lost but Barr will get over 10% of votes nationally and that will mean the Messiah gets a landslide. That btw is a possible Zogby outcome. He thinks the voters will go one way on Nov. 3 and by election time, either one of these guys gets a lot more votes than anyone has ever thought.

Barry’s doing badly among Hispanics

Do you have more info on that ?

Is he doing relatively badly, or is it below 50% ?

I have seen polls that show that he is doing well over 60%.

Looks like Rogle sets us straight:

Sorry Dave I would like to have seen him gone. From today’s Journal

Gov. To Speak at Convention

By Copyright © 2008 Albuquerque Journal By Michael Coleman Journal Washington Bureau WASHINGTON — Gov. Bill Richardson on Thursday snagged a top speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention, but it doesn’t appear to be the most coveted one — the slot reserved for Barack Obama’s vice presidential running mate.

He’s doing relatively badly, although I think it depends on the part of the country. I read earlier that the Dems are quite concerned about this.

“...red-neck white vote...”

How does one qualify for this derogatory moniker in your world?

I guess if there is a run on face powder, perfume, leather jackets, track lighting and show tunes in Denver, we will know it’s Wes.
