D.C. Freepers; Why Not A Protest Outside the Russian Embassy? [Vanity]
Posted on 08/14/2008 11:36:04 AM PDT by PurpleMan
I am wondering if there is a move afoot to "demonstrate" to Putin's people that what he is doing is an unconscionable.
I understand that everyone who works at the Pentagon has to put up with an every-Monday protest by local long-haired, maggott-infested, dope-smoking, FM-Type; Neo-commies.

Because the Liberals who have time to protest love Russia.
Unfortunately, Conservatives tend to be independent people and have jobs.
I wish I could, though...

Why not? For starters, you can’t get anywhere near it.

Why not? It’s right on Wisconsin Ave. A major thoroughfare like that would seem to a perfect place.

Maybe not the embassy, but you may be on to something...
Maybe there's a protest we could do that would initially appear to protest the invasion,
but whose true purpose would be to flush out into the open leftists libs (i.e. they counter-protest us),
pushing the kooks into making more public spectacles of themselves.
(good to do during an election cycle).
Still thinking about it...

I'm not in DC, but I wish some of the DC Freepers who go head-to-head with the protesters at Walter Reed would ask them when they plan to protest that war.

I like this idea. It would also draw a distinction between us and the appeaseniks, who couldn't care if some dictator killed 5 billion people, as long as the U.S. Air Force stayed home and let it happen.
Of course, it's easy for me to say, because I'm in Illinois and won't be schlepping signs to the Soviet Russian Embassy.
A suppport vigil at the Georgian embassy would be an equally good idea.

Better idea.

There was a protest, actually. On Monday. Tons of Georgian flags, signs. Secret Service vans parked outside the Russian Embassy; lots of guards. Not sure how effective it was but was certainly visible.

There has to be something that people can do all across the country. Maybe a hands on hands of freedom across the country. Something like pro-life people do when they carry pro-life signs and stand next to each other going from one state to another. They could hold U.S. flags and George’s flags. The very least the Christian churches could do would be organize a protest going across the country, since Georgia is Christian. Can we send emails and calls to the Russian embassy?

Are you waiting for someone to organize protest for you?
Why don’t you take some initiative? Juat do it.
Thanks in advance for your effort.
