Well, guess after Cheney speaking, they need to balance it with Rudy for the liberal wing.

That means Rudy will not be McCain’s running mate.

Unless the Dems give Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick equal time to Rudy’s they’re racist!

So how may people were banned during his campaign run here at FR last year and present?

I have seen him give rather nice lawyered up responses to left wing journalists in the past months. “not that I like him or anything”...

ducking...

Maybe FR can have a night when zotted Freepers can post again.

Just those who sought to vastly Liberalize the GOP.

FR apparently did not agree that all of America should mirror NYC.

Rooty speaking will make the liberal Republicans happy.

I’m more interested in knowing when conservatives Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter are gonna speak.

Will he perform his famous Can-Can line dance?

I totally disagree. Of all the outrageous positions and comments tolerated on Free Republic, some really good freepers were banned and lost during that over-reaction to Rudy.

If there was some way to contact them and invite them back, I wish it would be done.

Like I said, “not that I like him or anything” but he can certainly b@tch slap a few of the NY liberals when in a debate.

I don't want him in the White House but I wouldn't mind a fast talking semi conservative smart @ss on my side when the liberal knuckleheads start shouting!

They weren't expressing an issue difference, they were openly promoting a candidate whom the website expressly opposed. There were repeated warnings not to do so from the Mods and Jim Robinson himself. It is absolutely no different than being banned for promoting John Kerry in 2004, as this is not a GOP forum.

One only needs to look at the description of this forum - Pro-Life, Conservative, etc. - to see a litany of reasons why people openly promoting Rudy Giuliani to lead the Party and the nation would get zotted.

It's bad enough dealing with trolls, much less the more subtle posters who support a grand liberalization of the GOP, but attempt to do so under the guise of Patriotism and bettering the Conservative cause.

Will this "Republican" spend his entire speech on 9/11, the terrists, and national security? Or will he branch out and delve into why his support for abortion, gay marriage, illegal immigration (unless stopping it would entail RFID tagging everyone at birth), gun control, the global warming scam, and unrestrained government authority* really makes him a pragmatic, moderate, reasonable Republican who conservatives should happily embrace?

*"We look upon authority too often and focus over and over again, for 30 or 40 or 50 years, as if there is something wrong with authority. We see only the oppressive side of authority. Maybe it comes out of our history and our background. What we don't see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.

"A President has the authority to arrest U.S. citizens with no judicial review. But I would want to use this authority infrequently."

Maybe Giuliani will reenact his King of the Jungle performance. I'm sure his famous growl will send shivers down all the RINOs' spines.

We have a bunch like that right now on FR. They seemed to find a way to belittle Ronald Reagan and attack conservative posters by insisting they are liberals and pro Obama. Several of them signed up this year and appear to be John McCain supporters.

"Rudy will speak on the second night of the convention".

Good....I'm hoping for a little red meat from the Mayor. He may be a RINO, but he always delivers a hard-hitting, juicy speech when he's on his game.

I'd sure like to see my "erstwhile" candidate guy get a prime time slot to speak also....however Fred's undoubtedly too conservative for McCain and the RNC.

If the evening speakers are all "reaching out" to the Dems, I'll switch my channel to Jon and Kate Plus Eight.

I did not notice anyone getting banned who did not deserve it.

The banned Rudy supporters were some of the most dishonest, deceitful, and obnoxious posters I have ever observed.

They routinely lied about Rudy and his positions.

Oh, don't worry. Many of them are back with new freepernames, insulting conservatives daily.
