Deal: Clinton's Name Will Be Placed in Nomination at Dems Convention
August 14, 2008 11:09 AM
ABC News' Kate Snow reports: A deal has been brokered between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that will allow Clinton's name to be placed in nomination at next week's Democratic nominating convention, sources close to the Clinton camp told ABC News.
"Both sides agree that it is in the best interest of party unity and making sure that everyone's voice and vote is honored to make sure her name is put into nomination," a person close the negotiations said. "It's to honor everyone who worked so hard on both sides."

What’s the word? Solipcistic?
Nothing exists outside of the self.
The upside is that the destruction could include the whole Dhimmirat party.
The a real conservative party could step up and right-flank McCain in ‘12.

FWIW I've been saying this all along...
.Does anyone really think she went away?

They will have to release some info that makes Obambi completely unviable as a candidate before the vote takes place.Correctomundo... unless she drops a mega-bomb, the superdelegates will stick with NObama. The buyers remorse meter will have to be off the charts for them to switch.

Well, let's see. Kennedy; brain tumor, sheets Byrd; in extremely old and NOT spry; Arkansas Dem bigwig, shot and killed. There's three maybe out of the voting. Only 109 more to go for Hillary.
Now add the super delegates who have to stand up and state their vote for Obama when their constituents voted overwhelmingly for Hillary. They may change their minds. Think of the ads that could be made if they don't, especially in the marginally divided seats.
"Congressman so and so says he represents you, but on the biggest decision in years, he voted against your wishes. How can you trust him to care about your opinion."

Threatening 112? Thats a tall order. Indeed. If she had to threaten all of them. I'd be willing to bet that there are a whole bunch with buyer's remorse over zerObama.
A goodly fraction of them can be convinced that it is in the party's best interests to hold an open debate and vote.
Some of them want to feel more important than merely acting as rubber stamps.
Some would be open to sinecures in a Hillary! administration.
The Hillary! camp undoubtedly has a file of every weakness each delegate has, and knows to a high degree of accuracy what levers to pull to get them to bend or break.
It's the way the clintons work.
I wouldn't be all that surprised to eventually learn that Edwards' downfall was arranged as an object lesson for the rest...

I have known she thinks that way for years, but the anger of the 95%+ African American vote will cost her the election anyway, she MUST know that.
It would make the Rodney King riots look like drunken frat party in the bigger cities also.

Wouldn’t it be something if 112 Super Delegates sat out the first ballot, denying B. Hussein the nomination and on the second ballot, Hillary ended up the nominee?

I think Hillary would rather be the nominee and lose the election than have Obama win it.
