It was mid December 2006, days before the biggest Holiday in America, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ; only weeks after Americans angrily removed Republicans from control of congress in the mid-term election and replaced them with Democrats who promised to end the unpopular Bush war on terror.
Americans were busy working, shopping, decorating, cooking, traveling and preparing for guests. The memory of September 11th 2001, the American financial center, the military command in ruins and 3,000 innocent American civilians dead with countless others injured, had faded into distant recesses of the subconscious.
Democrats had been warning for five years that Bushs policy of preemption had not made America safer, but instead, less safe. They had traveled to the Middle East on several occasions in an effort to undercut Bushs imperialist invasion of sovereign and peaceful Iraq, but to no avail.
The red blooded rush to attack those who had attacked us had long passed and now, Americans refocused their attention on bigger issues. The nation was weary of war and in the mood for peace again. Gay marriage, abortion rights, nationalizing medicine and energy, reparations for blacks and better confiscation and redistribution of private wealth was atop the list of priorities once more .
And thats when they struck, again

What a shame we will never read this or anything like it in the American press! The presses efforts to keep Americans in the dark about the most important issues should be a crime!
Bingo! Great read!
Thanks!
Great article. It is worth clicking through to read. The GOP needs to go on the offensive and attack the leftists for their many failures. Barry O’ is the ultimate liberal, the culmination of 50 years of failed liberal ideas - bigger government, higher taxes, anti-americanism, weakened military, multiculturalism, etc. This article reminds us of Bush’s successes since 9/11, in contract with the liberals failed policies of the 90s.
While Democrats go about the silly business of making promises they wont keep to our nations takers, Bush, placing his trust in Americas greatest givers, continues down the lonely road of keeping the most solemn promise any President could ever make, to defend this nation, no matter the cost. As if completely unconcerned with personal popularity, he stays the course and prevents follow-up 9/11s that could easily make September 2001 seem like a day at Disney.
Exactly right!
Obama is the new face (empty suit) of a very old failed agenda. How sad that people have already forgotten that 9/11 defined the Bush presidency. Many domestic things he might have liked to work on, were forced to the back burner on 9/11. The events of that day forever influenced every decision made in the Oval Office since, as well it should have.
I hope most Americans are too smart to fall for Obama and the left-wing establishment pulling his strings.
He’s nothing more than a puppet of the extreme radical left. He is the most dangerous individual to ever seek the Oval Office and I can’t believe how many Americans have trouble seeing through the Barockstar smoke and mirrors!
Well said and so true!

Ping for later reference. Thanks for posting.....
Bump.....BTTT.
This is a great read. The author gets it. We SHOULD be hearing this from US newspapers, but that would require they momentarily, at least, abandon their hard left world view.
Thanks for the ping!
This column should be on the front page of every US newspaper... If every American understood this reality, they would make better decisions at election time.
Which is why this column will never made a US paper...
Good column. Author needs a copy editor though.
Yeah. Maybe a refresher English Composition class wouldn't hurt either.
