Big-box, home-improvement stores in Los Angeles will have to set aside space for day laborers under an ordinance passed by the City Council on Wednesday...
The shelters must be easily accessible and include drinking water, bathrooms, tables, seating and trashcans. The stores may be required to work with Los Angeles police in developing a security plan, according to the unanimous vote by the 15-member lawmaking body...

Sorry, I would have to say no and fight that one. That is simply a "government taking" of Home Depot resources and private space to perform a government social function.
I'd shut my stores and move them outside the city before I would comply with that one.

All Home Depot needs to do is set up a similar area right next to it where ICE agents and Border Patrol officers are welcomed to take their breaks.

I’d close the stores. I mean it, I would close every affected store...immediately.
Stuff like this brings to mind Reagan’s “Time for Choosing” speech. He, literally, warned of just this type of behavior...in 1964!!!

I pass by a huge housing development currently under construction. The illegals building the border fence cross the road and go into the woods to use the bathroom. One was crossing right in front of me the other day, which is what caused me to look around for port-a-potties and didn’t see a single one..... There is also no way city officials haven’t been on site to be sure everything is up to code so I guess they think this is a-ok.....ya gotta love a Sanctuary City, huh?

Of course Lost Angeles will take all responsibility for any lawsuits brought by the illegal aliens for incidents that occur in these loitering areas.
I won't hold my breath. What these Commie "councilgirlymen" are doing is illegal as hell. These illegal aliens don't work for Home Depot.

What in the hell? I’d drive out of town before buying something in LA. Go ahead and ban plastic bags and set up day laborer shacks. I will pay more not to shop in such idiot run cities.

Francisco Uribe, senior manager of government relations for The Home Depot, said the corporation does not oppose the day laborer centers.
Read the entire article. It gets worse.

The big box store providing the day laborers will then be liable when a crime is committed against their employer?

Why not pass an ordinance that homeowners must set up similar facilities, or at least turn over a bedroom or two for these workers?
