Edwards' bag man says he's only known about affair for a few weeks

Fred Baron now claims that he moved Young and Hunter, gave them money, but didn't know about the affair until a few weeks ago...

The former campaign finance chairman for John Edwards said this morning he was unaware of Edwards' affair with campaign videographer Rielle Hunter when he paid to move her to California last year.

In an e-mail this morning to The News & Observer, Dallas lawyer Fred Baron wrote, "I will re-state what I have previously stated on one point: I learned of the affair only a few weeks ago and had previously presumed that the 'tabloid' stuff was all bogus..."

...A key national fundraiser for Democratic Party causes, Baron released his own statement Friday declaring that he had decided independently, without notifying Edwards, to help Hunter and Young "rebuild their lives when harassment by supermarket tabloids made it impossible for them to conduct a normal life." He paid for their move from Chapel Hill to California...

...According to an article published Sunday, Baron told The New York Post that Hunter, Young and Young's family lived together in California until tension in the household grew.

"They lived in a single house most of the time and split to two houses recently," Baron told The Post.

Oh sure...and we just stepped off the turnip truck yesterday. No way lying Baron spends his greens behind Edwards back when it concerns Pony Boy greatly... we smell the stank!

The were looking at color swatches. Even though Hunter is not schooled in interior design. John was going to hire her to redecorate his home. It was going to be a surprise for Elizabeth, thus the time of day thing.

Now the surprise is ruined.

I wonder if Elizabeth posed for that picture on the front page of People magazine? If she did, it’s damage control and I don’t think she is any better than him.

The Edwardses have not, at least so far, sat down with their younger children to discuss the scandal. “The kids are, to a certain extent, oblivious,” Elizabeth’s brother Jay Anania tells PEOPLE, “but children are very wise and know things.”

********************

Especially when it's on the front page of PEOPLE magazine.

"I mean really, does anyone think Young's wife would have lived in the same house with Rielle Hunter if she believed Rielle was carrying her husband's child?"

My thoughts exactly.

Yes, of course, color swatches. I am sure you are right. HA!

If Silky really wanted to set the record straight that Rielle’s love child is NOT his then you better believe the lawyer would be pushing for a DNA test. Hush $$ is keeping Rielle from submitting the baby for testing. Silky’s in the spider web——sooner or later the baby will be revealed as his. Oh the tangled web.....

I suspect that “what” he was “doing” was Rielle Hunter.

Notice that although a written statement was supposedly released by Elizabeth Edwards, she hasn’t actually been seen in public...and now, EE’s best friend and brother are unloading on Johnny in People magazine.

He ought to just hop on a plane and meet his babymama wherever she’s hiding...and stay there.

Are we to assume that the Federal Gift taxes for this generosity have been forwarded to the U.S. Treasury?

LOL. If anyone’s got strong pimp hand here, it’s Rielle Hunter. Look at how many people she’s got jumping to keep her happy.

Well, if Fred hasn’t “given” her anything, but has just let her live in the house for free...it’s not a gift, it’s a loan. BWA HA HA HA

Is this the “Baron” of “Baron and Budd” medical malpractice lawyers? I see their ads on TV trolling for “victims” of this drug or that drug. Makes me sick. Just a bunch of ambulance chasers.

But she was crushed when his interview didn't lead to relief but instead to more digging into Edwards' affair with Rielle Hunter.

What did she expect?! That her lying, POS husband was being completely truthful? No! All that interview did was to allow Edwards to dig himself into a deeper hole. This story is far from being over.

If I’m not mistaken, though, Fred Baron (& his wife Lisa Blue) sold out their interest in the firm quite a few years back. I think there was even a lawsuit between them & their former partner Budd & the new managing shareholders about payments for their equity in the firm.
