Is it correct that the South Ossetians are Muslims?
No! They are ethnic Russians, perhaps a bit of Serb or whatever, but Christians.

If you recall, the takeover and bombing of a school by Islamic terrorists took place in N. Ossetia.(located in Russia)

I believe they dominant ethnicity of S.Ossetia is Persian Christian.

Thanks for clearing this up. Christians fighting Christians here, not sure what they are really all fighting for.

Makes no sense to me.

I guess it is sovereignty and control.
