Mike Meyers should be happy. More people watched this ad than watched his last batch of stinkbomb movies combined

I figured that might happen.
Oh well, joke made. They can re-edit it or come up with a new one.

Meyers, a Canadian, probably wouldn’t be complaining if the McCain camp would pay him “one beeelion dollars”.

Ok, I must be out of the "cultural loop" more than I thought.
I have no idea what that video has to do with Mike Meyers
It was a good shot at the faux messiah

Mike Meyers should be happy. One should never use another's image without permission in a public broadcast presentation. It has always been this way -- you ask for the rights and receive them, or you come up with another idea.

I always found it hilarious how morons like Myers draw more attention to these things than they would have gotten had they just kept their mouth shut.
Then again, Myers might just be looking for a little more time in the spotlight.

While I think these ads are funny, I’m worried McCain is going to overplay making fun of Obama. It was genius to let Obama get overexposed the last few months, but it would be really dumb to continue to make fun of the guy over and over without making some ads about what McCain is about.
I’m ready for something a little more grown up. McCain says Obama is too young for office, but McCain is putting up ads like a third grader would.
To: AnnaZ
I’m sure McCain and Bush approved the use of their image in Obama ads?

"The Army has orders from President Bush to shoot all the black people, YO!"
Mike Myers should keep his paranoid conspiracy theories to himself.
He and all of his democrat pals need to just shut up.
They are an embarrassment to Americans everywhere.

Granted, but Obama deserves a good smackdown to bring his arrogant butt back down to reality.
Obama hasn't held a real job a day in his life, and his plans will yield the systematic destruction of the Republic.
Hopefully McCain will throw a variety of fastballs, curveballs, knuckleballs and screwballs at Obama.
People need to occasionally have a good laugh when they see that pompous black racist.

A big part of this early campaign by McCain seems to not just be defining Obama but diffusing the fawning of the media. The media went so far over the top they look foolish and McCain called em on it. I am very impressed by these ads and how they have framed Obama and the media in cahoots together by using their own words. Now everything they say will be suspect, as it should be.

“but McCain is putting up ads like a third grader would.”
That’s the purpose of the ad. They are meant to look childish & flippant. They reflect on Obama, not McCain. The campaign tests these ads with focus groups. Once they are longer effective they will be stopped. In the meantime, people are laughing at the ads and Obama. It’s not McCain’s fault he doesn’t have much material to work with on Obama since Obama has accomplished nothing in life.
