Im sorry but this is one reason why I have no real respect for the so-called peace movement. I would think a peacenik would abhor all war and call for peace whenever and wherever it broke out.
But alas, the peace movement is currently silent (Day Four) when it comes to the recent Russian invasion of Georgia.

The peace movement people are FELLOW TRAVELERS. Why would they complain.

But Communists always support the actions of Mother Russia.
America is to be blamed here because Condi is on vacation.

No, they're consistent. The way they express their aversion to war is to hate America more and more each day. That hasn't stopped since the Russian invasion.

The American peace movement has never protested Soviet or Russian military actions. Hell, they support them!

They aren’t protesting because it’s not the US that is involved. They have common cause with a socialist/communist state invading a democracy.
To: bocopar
No kidding. Especially since there is an oil pipleline involved. Which side are they going to accuse for going to war for “oil”?
To: bocopar
The US ‘Peace Movement’ isn’t about peace or ending conflict in the world, but it is an effort to end the ‘imperialistic desires’ of the United States. Seems like our peaceniks are interested in an ‘imperialism’ of their own.

The anti war movement has nothing to do with war. Just like the environmental movement has nothing to do with the environment , or anti poverty programs have nothing to poverty, pro choice movement has nothing to do with choice, anti global warming has nothing to do with the (alleged) warming of the globe, feminism has nothing to do with the well being of females etc.. pretty much like any left wing namesake movement has nothing to do with what the name implies.
The anti war movement is just another conduit for channeling Anti Americanism. Rush said it right. They are not American Anti War protesters. They are ANTI AMERICAN war protestors.

Georgia is an ally of the US. Georgia=Puppet of US. Israel has helped Georgia. US=puppet of Israel. Therefore it’s Bush’s fault and that makes it OK in the Lib mindset for Russia to invade a country.

Peacenik is lib-speak for Socialist/Communist/Marxist.
I used to ask myself why the so-called women's rights crowd didn't protest the horrific treatment of women under the Taliban, and in most Middle Eastern countries. It's because they don't really care. Just as the Peaceniks don't care about peace. They exist to tear down capitalism and the U.S. of A.

My dad was in London prior to D-Day and nearly got stabbed by a pacifist.

I have great respect for pacifists, having grown up with many of them (Amish).
I have no respect for activists who are pacifists only so they can “feel good” protesting something. The Dems generated a whole bunch of those, including Momma Cindy, whom JFKerry recruited literally out of a funeral home.
The pacifists are no doubt holding prayer services and speaking in their meetings. The activists are resting so they can throw feces next week in Denver.
To: bocopar
That’s because the peacenick crowd is really just a bunch of socialists (i.e., fellow travelers) and moronic socialist enablers (i.e., useful idiots). They would not dream of protesting anything that a communist thug does (i.e., Czar Putin).

As I posted earlier today, they always condemn the US for any act of national defense and declaim us as being bloodthirsty and imperialistic, which we are not.
Now that their mentors are being truly imperialistic and murderous, where are they? I answered my own rhetorical question. They are taking notes from their mentors on how to impose totalitarianism.
