There is palpable anxiety, even despair, among many Republicans and conservatives over the possibility that Barack Obama will be elected president this November. This anxiety is being fueled by the mainstream media's fawning coverage of Obama's every word, while shamelessly downplaying John McCain's campaign; by public opinion polls that purport to show Obama "leading" the race over McCain; and by political commentators, on both sides of the aisle, who believe this is the Democrats' "election to lose," based on historical cycles, an uneven economy, high gas prices, continuing opposition to the Iraq War, and President Bush's dismal approval ratings.
I don't share this anxiety. For months now, I have been reassuring my right-leaning friends that Barack Obama will not be elected president. If I were a gambling man, I would buy lots of McCain stock on Intrade. Why am I so confident that John McCain is going to win the election? In short, because Barack Obama is not an acceptable choice to lead the country. Let me explain....

We will know McCain is the next president by 9pm EST/6pm PST.
Huh?
?
Perhaps that means by those times on the night of the election...
In other words, early.
We will know McCain is the next president by 9pm EST/6pm PST.

I agree. There is no way Americans will vote for this guy once they hear his stand on the issues.
I predict that’s about the point that it will become clear that Obama cannot overtake McCain, and McCain may possibly pass 270 shortly after, depending on how long it takes key states to count their votes.
Yeah, obviously I’m talking about election night.
OK
I predict that McCain will carry PA by 60/40 but the MSM will declare it “too close to call”.
I don’t know, with Obama out of the spotlight his numbers might go up.
Once again, Hillary is the Dimocrat nominee. Hillary is the next president of the US. God help us all.
I predict it will take the Dems about 16 hours to "find" enough votes.
Maybe their getting better, and know what closet to look in this year. In that case, 4 hours max -- just enough time to get the dead and felons in twice.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
I think McCain is likely to take even Massachusetts, or come very close.
He’s in trouble because he’s a SOCIALIST and despite what the libs all think, America is NOT a socialist nation for the most part.
It takes surprising little number of votes to change the results in many states.
The American electorate pretty much goes Republican when it comes time to choose a president. The article states only two Democratic presidents in past 40 years and they didn't win by much. The country really does want to vote Republican. When a decent Republican is found, the Republicans tend to win in landslides (i.e. Reagan in 1980 and 1984).
But Reagan aside, the Republicans do not do a good job delivering a nominee we can enthusiastically get behind. Just look at the clunkers the Republicans have put forth in recent elections...Bob Dole, George HW Bush, Gerald Ford, and now this here John McCain. Now these are all fine people but not great presidential material. Yet by and large, the Republicans find a way to win because the American people want them to.
Isn't it a shame that we cannot find more Ronald Reagan-type people to put on our ticket?
I ...aahhh...think we’ll ....know ....aaahh....I think we’ll be certain....aaahhh ....sometime in October....aaah...after the 1st debate.
