Come on Mr. President (W), go there! These are our friends and look at the resolve and courage the five presidents are showing!!

Russia is NOT our friend, they intend to scoop up these nations and dare anyone to stop them, starting with Georgia.

History is coming about full circle, we know what this is about, appeasement will only endanger others and enslave them!! Stand by them, or, are they just a “tiny” country without value (insert Obama whine here).

Time to show these folks how much we appreciate their support in Iraq, hollow words won’t get it.

I agree with the things that you are saying.

My point is this: Our President personally promised these people that they would not be on this journey alone. He said that the American people would be right beside them.

If ever there was a time to put your money where your mouth is, I would think this is it.

Looks like SOMEONE is willing to put their butt on the line for Georgia.

Well, although I'm usually a half full kinda guy, this move is most definitely in the interest of those 5 countries. Why? It's because they are next if Georgia falls and they know it. Russia will be making a large mistake to anger Poland at this juncture.

Well... YOU said it first. :)

Besides, as I've explained elsewhere, The President/VP et al can't GO to Georgia until National Security greenlights it. You do NOT send a sitting President into an actively Hostile combat zone. It's just not wise to do this; no matter how "good" it would look.

President goes, some itchy trigger finger gets busy, hits the President; Plausible Deniability by Russia, or any other "party". We are then automatically at war.

How convenient would that be for Iran and the Axis; And of course, the "Bush haters".

Not a bad idea, Publius. And if the Pope gets involved, we’ll find out exactly, and soon, how Much the Jihadi’s might be involved in WHY Georgia entered So Ossetia, in the first place among the smuggling; drugs and guns. Pope gets involved; the Jihadi’s go crazy. They always do.

Well, as a guy who seldom gives Bush much support, I’m willing to listen to what he has to say before joining you. That doesn’t mean that I don’t think you’ll be proven right shortly after 5:15 p.m. your time.

We’ll see.

The French and Finnish FM had no problem visiting Gori. You don’t need a Palace for a visit.

Wonder if Georgia has a water polo team.

It would be nice if we had a repeat of the 1956 Water Polo Game in Melbourne.

The Hungarians lost that Revolution against the Soviets but won the Gold.
