PRIME Minister Kevin Rudd witnessed a heated discussion between US President George W. Bush and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, over Russia's invasion of a tiny neighbouring country as athletes paraded before them in the Opening Ceremony on Friday night.

Mr Rudd revealed in an interview with Beijing Now in Beijing on Saturday that he was sitting just two rows behind Mr Bush when an "animated" discussion between he and Mr Putin broke out over Russia's advance into South Ossetia, a breakaway region in neighbouring Georgia.

Let's hope McCain doesn't pick Mitt. No Romney, ever, has served in the military. Nor any of Mitt's strapping five sons. Further, Mitt couldn't take on any of the famously courageous Massachusetts hacks and any of their pet thieving projects. The guy is positively politically spineless. Good hair though, and proven spread sheet ability.

"Sounds like Putti-Poot got W's dander up. Never a good idea to get the dander of a Texan up.

"Why not? GWB isn't really a Texan, he was born in New Haven Connecticut."

Your comment had nothing to do with picking a president. Nice try.

It’s almost like Putin has made a threat and W is saying either “you wouldn’t dare” or “Do it, and face my wrath”. Not a happy conversation going on, for sure.

Johnson was from Texas too.

I wouldn’t be bragging these days if I were from Texas.

I don't know, but I think he has a certain Newmanish quality about him.

We should be concentrating on electing Conservatives to Congress to keep Obama or McCain in check. Neither candidate is good for the US (McCain the lesser of two evils, but I won’t play that game).

Taft was very very bad for our state. Unfortunately, it kicked Blackwell out of the running by association - but you’re right, I would rather see ol’ corrupt Taft than 120 days of Frankenschteen

Bush has liberated two countries and 25+ million people. I’d say he has stones aplenty.

"Oh, my. Now that last one is a very interesting picture indeed."

Indeed. One of those "if looks could kill" kind of pictures.

Bull.

There was no inference nor any reference to that effect in your post. If that was your intent, you failed miserably.

I might suggest an analytical writing class, perhaps at community college. That might help you avoid nonsensical and/ or insulting statements that you then feel obliged to defend ... which, of course, leaves you looking like a first class twit.

Why you won’t count Georgia out yet? This is like Poland trying to defend against Nazi Germany.

Yeah Mccain is a douche, and I swore I would never vote for him. However, I’m breaking down and having second thoughts. Especially if Putin gets the band back together.

Grammar police alert. It should be "...between him and Mr. Putin..."
