You should definitely watch “The Sting” and also “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.” Newman and Redford are both leftists, but those two movies are classics.

That was basically my experience with my mom also. Only problem we had was getting bed, oxygen etc out ASAP. That tood 2 days and we were furious. We were still in shock that she had such little time and she went down hill fast in one week then she was gone. We needed the reminders gone and hospice kept promising they would be gone but they finally took them while we attended the wake. Everything else went smoothly. Such caring people in the world make the experience so much easier.

It's their rink, it's their ice, and it's their ... town. But tonight we got our fans with us!

They spent their own dough to get here, and they came here to see us! All right, let's show 'em what we got, guys! Get out there on the ice and let 'em know you're there. Get that ... stick in their side. Let 'em know you're there! Get that lumber in his teeth. Let 'em know you're there!

Bleed all over 'em. Let 'em know you're there. (Ned was such a party pooper)

"I always meant to see that movie again as an adult but I never got around to it. "

If you get cable TV, I'm sure Turner Classic Movies will have a day's worth of his films when he passes.

Newman a fellow Cleveland native. I can recall shopping in his dad’s store (Newman-Sterns, one of the largest and best outdoor/sporting goods shops in Cleveland) with my father and grandmother.)

While I didn’t agree with much of his politics, I appreciated his talent as an actor and respected and admired his many charitable works.

Godspeed, Paul. You will be missed.

Oh and least I forget, your portrayal of General Leslie Groves in “Fat Man and Little Boy” was also spectacular.

Thank you for mentioning that, he was awesome in that movie, even though I'm pretty sure in real life he was opposed to everything Groves stood for.

Very sad. Great actor, fair racer, but poor politician.

It is always sad to see a loved one come to the end. Prayers for the Newman family.

Prayers also that Paul is able to make peace with the Lord before he passes.

In reading many posts expressing good wishes to this dying liberal I try to imagine lefties (of the Kos sort) taking a similar view if a famous conservative had made a similar announcement.

I tried, but I can’t imagine them doing the same.

Go in peace, Mr Newman.

Mr. Newman,
Thanks for the memories.
GOD bless.

You said it well. My sentiments exactly.

Regardless of his politics, I enjoyed countless movies he did and he will be missed.
