Interesting. Not going to ask you to do my homework for me but do you happen to know how many of McCain’s contributions are in odd dollar/cents amounts?

I haven’t yet found the article but online there is some detailed history of Iran’s renaming. The whole Germany/Iran relationship was pretty brutal on their enemies.

I checked. None. I was stunned.

Then, discounting differences in reporting, the chances of statistically that being a coincidence is zero. Incredible.

Read about it, yeah. I’m not so much worried about that (though I despise Clooney). It’s the small overseas internet donations that cause the most concern. They come in under the radar. Obama is getting bankrolled by the arabs. An event like the Swiss one will bring scrutiny with it. (Or perhaps one would hope.)

My point is that it’s still illegal for foreigners to donate to our Presidential campaign. I would be upset too if the donations were made for McCain or any Republican candidate

Donations to McCain appear as you'd expect campaign contributions to appear. Increments of $25, $50, $100, $250 up to the limits of $2,300 & $4,600 for both primary & general election cycle. There are some $9,200 which are not OVER the limit but represent $4,600 for two spouses.
There are some odd $. Just NO and I mean NO cents transactions.

See post #25. Foreign currency conversions don't explain it. All the entries in the spreadsheet at this post are domestic.
It has to be something else.

I would be upset no matter which party. But I think this Swiss fundraiser is for Americans living abroad. I could be wrong.

I was never before aware how lax the reporting requirements are for campaign contribtions.
Obviously, the public is kept in the dark about the majority of campagin funding activity by the candidates.
I didn't see any red flags in the McCain file, otherwise I would have looked deeper.
The candidates do not report the bundling activity publicly. At least that has been what I have found. I wanted to review McCain's activity after the WaPo article last week, but what I found are requests for the donors to publish it, but they are not required to.
If anyone knows where to find the data, I'd love to know where it is!
