Georgia was set up by Russia. This whole thing was a reaction by Russia of Kosovo declaring its independence from Serbia this year and our support of this which Russia did not want to happen.

It’s part of the “triangle of fun” or at least on the edges of it. Figured that there had to be a Mohammadan in there somehwere.

Bush had to go help China celebrate their pollution ridden, corrupt Olympics.

Bush has an IQ of 158 and people that I respect

Where on earth did you get that?

I saw his GRE scores; my verbal was way higher and my IQ is no where near 158.

I reference Bill Sammon and Charles Krauthammer on a Brit Hume segment from election 2004. Feel free to think what you will but I'll take the word of those two as gold.

They were comparing the dumb-arse kerry to a far more intelligent Bush. Rush met the man one-on-one several times and he is impressed with the man's intellect. Like I said... think what you want to.

FYI........Hers’s a quote from a RED ALERT I just received from STRATFOR:

“Russian President Dmitri Medvedev summed this message up best: “Historically Russia has been, and will continue to be, a guarantor of security for peoples of the Caucasus.”

Strategically, we said Russia would respond to Kosovo’s independence, and they have. Russia is now declaring the Caucasus to be part of its sphere of influence. We have spoken for months of how Russia would find a window of opportunity to redefine the region. This is happening now”.

Because they’re still a nuclear power and we don’t get into direct military confrontations with them. Unless or until they have zero ICBMs we’ll proxy war all conflicts with Russia no matter what their name is. Sure they MIGHT not be crazy enough, but do you want to stake the lives of every single person in the world based on the sanity of a bunch of guys on the other side of the planet whose name you probably don’t even know?

Its a shame it isn't going to happen as you say. I agree.

The Georgians have billboard size posters of George Bush and " welcome USA" for tourists billboards. They love the USA, and they admire Republicans.

Entirely possible Bush has thrown the Georgians under the Bus for permission to attack Iran.

That is an interesting theory. It also makes a lot of sense ( Puty, you take Georgia, and stand off while we pound the Iranians!) Quid pro quo, the kind the Russians like also. Interesting thinking.

Lets keep our eyes peeled for evidence of the deal.

And what is Bush doing, besides laughing with Putin as bombs are falling on our ally?

That was in response to post #6, here is the complete text I quoted from;

Georgia sent thousands of men to Iraq. What is America doing to help Georgia ?

The US have bases and a lot of personnel there.

“Lets keep our eyes peeled for evidence of the deal.

Our lack of strong response, verbally or in terms of
troop movements or Defcon level, etc.? Bush seem to know what Russia’s limits will be with this conflict and as long as they are not exceeded, he is satisfied to have a few protests issued from the State department, which the Russians will graciously allow.

"Georgia sent thousands of men to Iraq. What is America doing to help Georgia ?"

It is unfortunate, the Georgian troops returning to their homeland may be sacrificed to the overall agreement I've presented here: Georgia for Iran.
