Obama’s Red Mentor Praised Red Army

Barack Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA, wrote a poem dedicated to the Soviet Red Army. “Smash on, victory-eating Red Army,” he declared. He also wrote poems attacking traditional Christianity and the work of Christian missionaries.

The “Red Army” poem goes beyond hoping for the communists to beat the Nazis in World War II and hails the Soviet revolution. It says:

“Show the marveling multitudes
Americans, British, all your allied brothers
How strong you are
How great you are
How your young tree of new unity
Planted twenty-five years ago
Bears today the golden fruit of victory!”

That said... quantity has a quality all its own, and Russia has more resources to throw at this.

And where has the damned news media been? We’ve spent the last two weeks being bombarded with tire gauge philosophy and Paris Hilton’s energy plan ... and THIS is going on and we only find out when Russia invades Georgia?

The only places I've been getting info on the Georgia situation has been FR as well as the BBC. I've never seen a peep in the local news. And certainly not on the front page of any newspaper... and I'm convinced that the front page (and sports pages) is all anybody ever reads anymore.

Russian television Friday showed a convoy of Russian tanks and said they were heading into the breakaway Georgian region of South Ossetia as escalating tensions over the region threatened to boil into full blown conflict.
