It looks like Bob’s aCLU comrades have “got his back.”
At one time I actually respected this guy.
He has really gone off the deep end.
whatta jerk!
he cozies up to the communist aclu,
and he’s running for president.
it must be a big ego trip for the husband and wife to have the secret service follow them around.
i have a greater chance of going to the moon than he has of winning the presidency.
Barr worked for the ACLU and now they are suing to get him on the ballot. Sued in Oklahoma as well. Wasting tax dollar funds.
ACLU is no friend of Conservatives!
So FReepers support ballot restrictions now?
I did too. It is like those who have McCain derangement syndrome. They don’t care about his voting record, they don’t care how many times he’s taken Democrats to task. I’ve seen the same silly standard applied to conservative pro-life candidates who no matter how many times they vote to pass laws restricting abortion they still aren’t Pro-Life enough unless they are ready to throw a bomb into a clinic. I’m not worrying about them. We can’t afford to have the conservatives in the Republican party fall on their swords. If anything they should be working hard to get conservatives elected in their states and quit whining about McCain. We have a huge slate of conservatives running for the Senate but Jim Gilmore is struggling when he should be riding high. Where are the conservatives in Virginia? Do they really want to see liberal Mark Warner who is against drilling, against homeschooling, against abortion restrictions, against tax cuts, against constructionist judges elected? Come on people rise up and defeat the beast don’t cower down in submission!
Do you agree with ballot restrictions promoted by the two-party cartel or not? Or should our elections be run like Zimbabwe?
On privacy and constitutional issues only. Not on the moonbat issues. BFD. Lots of conservative groups have worked hand-in-hand with the ACLU.
and now they are suing to get him on the ballot
He is a presidential candidate of a major political party. As long as he meets the state's requisites regarding ballot qualifications, then there shouldn't be any issues. Elected stooges shouldn't be doing the duopoly's dirty work.
No, he can be on the ballot. It is just silly for him to run. If he did get enough vote he’d just guarantee a man who represents everything he stands against is elected. McCain is Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment, Pro-Traditional Family, Pro-Tax Cuts, Pro-Small Government, anti-earmark, Pro-Military, pro-security first on immigration, pro-constructionist judges. What else do you need? Bob Barr is a loser and if he wants to be on the ballot and get the 1 or 2 votes he might get in Massachusetts then so be it.
He should be working to get conservative candidates elected rather than serving his own ego. If conservatives and libertarians would do that rather than putting forth lost cause candidates maybe they’d change the face of the GOP permanently. We currently have many very conservative Senate Candidates running but the degree of support they are getting is pathetic. Come on where are all the Rich Republicans who love Jesus and small government?
Anybody working with the Commie ACLU should not be allowed to run for office in America, just like Communists are barred.
Having Bob Barr on the ballot in swing states could be dangerous. But Massachusetts? If Bob Barr is responsible for swinging Massachusetts to Obama, all that will do is deny McCain a 50-state sweep. Since McCain doesn't deserve a 50-state sweep, I fail to see the problem.
This is one area where the ACLU has it right. Why should we permit a two-party monopoly to limit citizens’ choices at the ballot box???
Prominent conservatives and conservative groups have worked with the ACLU. There are some areas where the far left and the far right are in total agreement.
Right now I feel that financially supporting Ralph Nader offers the best value for my money to defeat Obama. If I'm not wrong, what is Nader's contact info?
The good thing about this race is that afterward we will finally be rid of aclu boob barr. He will get the same two percent anyone who put his name on the ballot would get in someplaces. In other states he will get about 6 votes. Go away aclu boob, just go away.
yes sir! reporting as requested.
um...extreme choices. zimbabwe-we isn’t even a market economy.
but, no i do not support your “cartel” ballot restrictions because they lead to “bipartisanship” so dear to the dems.
the most likely result is gridlock. bob dole excelled there.
on the other hand, more reasonable choices would be israel’s multi-party system or ick, italy’s revolving governments.
parliamentary democracies of europe?
it’s a long discussion.
al obama scares me, so even tho’ he’s not my choice , i shall report for duty and vote for mccain.
si.
Communists are barred from running for office in America?
