A child too young to speak helped Atlanta police officers catch and arrest a teen accused of swinging his 7-month-old son by his feet and dangling him over a ravine, according to police.
After getting a call for help on Monday, police officers tracked 17-year-old Tommy Thomas to his home in the 2800 block of Grand Avenue, south of downtown Atlanta, but his sister told officers that Thomas wasn't there, according to an Atlanta police report.
One of the sister's children, however, gave police the tip they needed. As officers looked around the house, the child pointed up at an attic door in a rear bedroom — where Thomas was hiding, the report said.
"The young child, not old enough to speak, continued pointing at the attic," an officer wrote in the police report.
The officer boosted himself up, and spotted Thomas inside the attic, the report said.
Two officers went in to get him, but Thomas and at least one of the officers fell through the ceiling into the living room.
After a struggle, Thomas was arrested on charges including cruelty to children and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

Too bad, but the charges probably won’t keep him away from children or women long enough to keep him from harming or killing the most vulnerable.

Yes, but hardly a man. Don’t get me wrong, I believe that if he is old enough to father a child, he is old enough to take a man’s punishment.
And of the Welfare State, which has made it too easy for girls to have children at that age, and for the fathers of the babies to either walk away, or act like they're still children, because they have no real responsibility.
