Raleigh, N.C. John McCain has retaken the lead in Florida, Public Policy Pollings newest survey shows.
Barack Obama had taken a small lead in June after trailing in PPP surveys of the state in March and January, but McCain now has a 47-44 advantage.
Obama earns just 76% of the Democratic vote, with the folks in his party supporting McCain disproportionately older white females.
The Democrats crossing over to support John McCain are your prototypical Hillary Clinton supporters, said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. Barack Obama still has some work to do getting those folks on his side if he wants to have any chance of winning Florida.
The survey also shows tightening among Hispanic voters over the last month. Obama now leads by just three points with them after showing a 14 point advantage in the previous survey.

I don’t think he will win enough of the pro-Hilary retired Jewish vote to win florida.

I'm vacationing in Florida next weekend. Good people, but the most horrendous drivers I've ever seen in my life. And I've driven in Manhattan traffic. On a weekend. At Christmas.

PUMA power (which I learned means “Party Unity My [bad word that sounds similar to brass]”) plus some Jewish voters who think the messia-uhh is a shmuck.

A McCain win in November brings Rodham back into play for ‘12. An Odumbo win in November pretty much finishes her off. Savvy Rodhamites will vote for McCain.

I bet McCain’s lead in Fla. is significantly bigger than this poll claims.

Preaching to the choir, baby. No matter how long I live here (going on 10 years now) I still would much rather drive in NY than FL. Even in the off season! Some evil god punishes us year-round w/ bad drivers.
Although . . . last time I was upstate NY I thought fo sho some Floridians had followed me up there just to make sure my road rage stayed on simmer.

I've lived in east central Alabama for ten years, and can spot a Floridian behind the wheel from two miles away - mostly from Escambia County. I'll be in Flagler and St. John's counties, where people don't seem to be on quite the same caffeine jag as the rest of the state. LOL

One of my college teachers said you can tell you’re driving in FL when all you see from behind are two fists on the steering wheel. Can’t even see a head in the driver’s seat.

PPP is a Democrat Party polling outfit. McCain wins Florida by eight to ten points over the Messiah. Indeed. He sweeps the south including Virginia.

South Florida’s media does nothing but kiss Obama’s hind end...over and over again.

SurveyUSA in FL today has McCain at 50%, and up four or five. That’s pretty significant. When you throw in undecideds, FL appears to be moving out of reach for The O.
