Can’t overlook that two of Obama’s core constituents are notoriously bad about turning out; blacks and the under 25. Subtract out conservative white democrats from flyover and he’s not left with much but the liberal elite. So, he can win New York, Illinois, California, Oregon and ???

To give McCain credit, I wouldn’t pronounce his campaign as listless or turgid at this point in time. Democrats always peak early, Republicans seem to viscerally understand that despite the breathless press reporting, there is no need to ramp up the excitement in August before the convention.

After the convention, I may have to concede he’s a bore, but right now I think he’s doing the right thing. And the Paris ad was great. As was her response.
