Obama Fatigue - 48% Hearing Too Much About Him
Pew ^ | August 6, 2008 | Pew

As he has since January, this week, Barack Obama enjoyed much more visibility as far as the public was concerned than did John McCain. By a margin of 76% to 11% respondents in Pew's weekly News Interest Index survey named Obama over McCain as the candidate they have heard the most about in recent days. But the same poll also shows that the Democratic candidate's media dominance may not be working in his favor. Close to half (48%) of Pew's interviewees went on to say that they have been hearing too much about Obama lately. And by a slight, but statistically significant margin - 22% to 16% - people say that recently they have a less rather than more favorable view of the putative Democratic nominee.

In contrast, if anything, Pew's respondents said they want to hear more, not less about the Republican candidate. Just 26% in the poll said they had heard too much about McCain, while a larger number (38%) reported that they had heard too little about the putative Republican candidate. However, as for Obama, a slight plurality reports that recently they have come to have a less favorable view of McCain rather than a more favorable view of him - (23% to 18%).

Not surprisingly, a very large number of Republicans say they have heard too much about Obama lately. But 51% of independents shared this opinion, and as many as a third of Democrats thought so too.

When will they address the charges that he is a Marxist?

That is starting to hit the local radio talk shows here in Cleveland. Obama saying something to the effect of "the oil companies are making a lot of money right now, it's perfectly ok to take some of that money from them and give it back to the people" is starting to be brought up. This morning they said "call it Communism, Marxism, or whatever you want. We're going to call it Obammunism." I noticed the number of people calling in to vehemently defend Obama has decreased over the past few weeks. It isn't the MSM, obviously, but it's a start here in the democratic stronghold of Cleveland.

I think the critical point came when the MSM touted the story of how comedians haven’t been able to find anything really funny about Obama.

It was like a Triple Dog Dare to many of us, and the rest is history.

Every stinking day this smarmy huckster is on tv spouting pious nothings and looking arrogant, the MSM are trying to ram him down America's throat and frankly, I am sick of seeing him and how the sycophant MSMedia are worshiping him and covering for him.

Because of the way over exposure this guy is getting every time I see or hear him now I IMMEDIATELY change the channel or barring that tune him out completely because he is nothing but an empty suit with NO experience. Oh did I also mention the fact that he can't even string a coherent sentence together when he does not have a teleprompter?

There is only ONE Messiah and Obamalamadingdong isn't the Lord Jesus Christ.

lol...see post 55...

If I were about 10 years younger, this would make an excellent beer drinking game.

Not sure if you folks ever heard of the "Scarface" game, but this would probably be as rough.

I am so tired of hearing about him and his fake change.

I wish he would leave.

Obama Fatigue - 48% Hearing Too Much About Him

Publicity experts often tell their celebrity clients that too much exposure or visibility can be damaging to their careers and when people become tired of a celebrity, the careers of those celebrities suffer.

Obama has become too overexposed. The media is too saturated with Obama images and videos and statements. Where's Hillary? I'm kind of missing her shrill voice lately.

But, this overexposure or celebrity problem that political candidates are experiencing can be remedied in the future by....

NOT HAVING A FOUR YEAR CAMPAIGN BEFORE THE ELECTION!

My preference is that political candidates should not start campaigning until the January of the year of the election. It's sickening... these four year political campaigns.
