I HOPE IT INVOLVES A ROPE.......THAT’S HOPE I CAN BELIEVE IN FOR A CHANGE.................
Me too. There were some problems yesterday that didn’t look good - apparently some of the judge’s instructions to the jury were hotly contested by the prosecution.
If this guy isn’t found guilty...
Waiting with butterflies.
GUANTANAMO BAY U.S. NAVAL BASE, Cuba (Reuters) - A jury of U.S. military officers reached a verdict on Wednesday in the trial of Osama bin Laden’s driver, who is accused of conspiring with al Qaeda and providing material support for terrorism in the first U.S. war crimes trial since World War Two.
A spokesman said the verdict would be announced shortly in the case of Yemeni driver Salim Hamdan, who faces life in prison if convicted.
Faces life in prison? That’s it?! Boy that threat will really scare al-qaeda and the taliban.
Ooops- forgot to put this in BREAKING- will you fix it please?
Life in which prison?
This case is going to be slam dunk since I don’t think the prosectors would risk going with a loose case when everyone is paying attention.
Here’s what’s really unbelievable and frightening about this case at this point:

GUANTANAMO BAY U.S. NAVAL BASE, Cuba (Reuters) - A potential mistrial was avoided in the first Guantanamo trial on Tuesday when the U.S. military judge ruled it was too late to challenge his war crimes instructions to the jury deliberating the case of Osama bin Laden’s driver.
But the judge acknowledged he may have erred and prosecutors sought clarification on the law that they said could affect plans to try up to 80 more Guantanamo prisoners.
~snip~
SO- the judge makes a (major) error in his instructions to the jury- AND says it’s too late to call them back and issue new instructions. This may be a disaster. Or- I’m ovbereacting.
ping for Hamdan verdict
Isn’t this all a moot point since the the judge practically admitted that he erred in his instructions to the jury? If this piece of filth is found guilty there’s certain to be an appeal. Probably should be a mistrial.
Not necessarily- see # 9 and link
It sounds like the error was in favor of the defendant. Let’s hope they convict anyway, and it will become a moot point.
Thank GOD. GUILTY!!!
Good news.
Whew. After yesterday and the judge’s stupidity, and ALL the attention Hamdan received with the SCOTUS case I was getting really nervous.
The joke is on the liberals. They wanted courts for the terrorists now we start convicting and hanging the bastards.
Great point.
Just ducky - three hots and a cot for the rest of his natural life in the Marriot of his choice.
At your expense.
I hate this country.
