“Debates” with reporters asking questions is a joke.

Give them simple propositions to affirm or deny and give them each three shots at it: 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute.

Proposition: “The War in Iraq was necessary.”

Proposition: “Gasoline Prices will benefit from additional drilling in our own offshore & onshore areas?”

Proposition: “America needs every citizen covered by government health care?”

Well, after an "SNL" sketch depicted a debate in which Hillary Clinton was asked tough, unfair questions while Barack Obama was tossed softballs, things did seem to change.

Absolutely things did change. Instead of asking Hillary tough, unfair questions. They now ask McCain the tough, unfair questions.
