McCain will go after Obama during his visit to a nuclear power plant in Newport, Mich. There, according to prepared remarks, McCain will say:
"Solving our national energy crisis requires an 'all of the above' approach. That will require aggressive development of alternative energies like wind, solar, tidal and bio-fuels. It also requires expanding traditional sources of energy like off shore drilling, clean coal, and nuclear power like the power produced at this plant here in Michigan. Sen. Obama has said that expanding our nuclear power plants 'doesn't make sense for America.' He also says no to nuclear storage and reprocessing. I couldn't disagree more. I have proposed a plan to build additional nuclear plants. That means new jobs, and that means new energy. If we want to enable the technologies of tomorrow like plug-in electric cars, we need electricity to plug into.

Good for him.
MORE NUKES!!!
Go, John, go!
I’ve been really holding off, but I may have to donate some money...
I like the ‘kitchen sink’ approach! Flood the market and the best will rise!
“If we want to enable the technologies of tomorrow like plug-in electric cars, we need electricity to plug into.”
Not only electric cars, but I cannot help but remember when I was young the electric busses, and the electric trollies when we visited with Aunt Winnifred in downtown Los Angeles.
They were disposed of, all that 1930’s technology for gasoline and diesel buses in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
Nuclear Powered Electrical generation coupled with modern technology and that old concept of electric buses and trollies would make the air cleaner, and provide more interesting transportation. I wonder if the powering source lines would still pop and spark as the old ones did.
This guy is a complete nut case. Only reason for him not liking Nuclear is he, or Soros, can’t make any money from oil or other new technology.
Gotta give the McCain campaign credit, they have done a good job keeping Obama on the defense the last 3 weeks or so.
Imo, this is the ONLY thing McCain really needs to do to win. Keep pushing for drilling here, now. Responsible adults and people who understand life know that this is the most important domestic issue right now. They aren’t glass-eyed head-in-the-clouds sheep waiting for “hope” or for a career politician to “change” their lives and turn the US into a magical wonderland of diversity. If McCain courts the responsible peoples’ vote, he can win!
Can Jane Fonda be converted into a fuel rod for a nuke plant?
Apropos for the lingering damage wrought by her role in the lying nuclear propaganda hit piece, The China Syndrome.
Yep.
Nukes is a winning issue now.
Bout’ damn time too!
Drilling is too.
The dems and Obama have painted themselves into a corner on this one.
McCain can take full advantage of this.

And he is dangerous and deceptive. A hardcore liar and radical America-hating socialist who is really as dumb as a rock and even if he was a patriotic American, which he is far from, he is still TOTALLY UNPREPARED to be Commander in Chief. TOTALLY.
Actually Obama has a history of supporting nuclear energy and the NE corporation in Illinois is one of his biggest financial backers. He sponsored legislation in the Illinois Senate that backed that corp against consumers. His campaign manager, David Axelrod, has long been a spokesman for NE interests.
But,,,, in order to get the Dim nomination and not infuriate further the Hillary folk, he had to cool his nuke history.
The Government 'Energy Plan'
1. You can't drill for oil anywhere.
2. You can't build a refinery anywhere.
3. You can't build a nuclear power plant anywhere.
4. You can't burn coal for electricity.
5. You can't allow the oil companies to reinvest their profits into exploration.
6. But you can drive up the price of food by subsidizing an ethanol industry that takes land out of food production while using more energy than it creates.
7. You must continue to tax every gallon of gas that we put in our tanks.
8. You must threaten all energy users with additional 'carbon taxes'.
9. And just in case some entrepreneur out there somewhere may have an idea for an alternative energy concept that just might work, you must raise the capital gains tax so that investors have less capital and less incentive to invest in his/her project.
Count your blessings. With the coming change in administration, it will be a wonder if the price of gasoline doesn't get to $10 per gallon.

Your title is misleading. Instead of The Government ‘Energy Plan” I think it should be “The Liberal’s Energy Plan”
McCain Steps up to the plate...Bammo, knocks it out of the park! Home Run!
