Talked to Trueblackman on cell before I left--he was on his way there. Perhaps he'll have more to say on the matter. I saw no protesters. Zip, zero, nada.

I’ll see what I can do about that. They aren’t allowing cameras on the House floor, obviously (haven’t yet asked where Newt is speaking), and they won’t allow video cameras at the press conferences in Statuary Hall as there is one pool camera for all of the press to pick up the feed if they’d like to... but my still camera takes video... so does my cell phone... hmmm... but they’ll likely have the speech on C-SPAN, at the very least, if it’s somewhere other than the House floor, that is.

Oh, one more thing...
According to everyone I spoke with today, staffers and members alike, C-SPAN is VERY ticked off at Nancy Pelosi. C-SPAN has been trying to get the Republicans to somehow pressure Pelosi to turn the cameras back on because she is stonewalling them.
So much for that free speech thingy...

These threads were started by eeevil conservative and are full of info on activism. There are 3 threads. You’d have to ask Sherri about linking as I don’t know the rules. One thing that you can do is post the numbers at the beginning of this thread and tell them to call and encourage these guys.
