David Freddoso argues against the notion that Barack Obama lacks a track record, and says Republicans have missed the mark in arguing his inexperience. In his new book The Case Against Barack Obama, Freddoso says that Obama needs to run on the notion that he has no track record, because an examination of his actual work would reveal himself as a hard-Left idealogue instead of a reformer. Politico takes a look at Freddoso’s work:
The first serious negative biography of Senator Barack Obama casts the Democratic nominee as a fake reformer and a real liberal.
The Case Against Barack Obama, by National Reviews David Freddoso, blasts Obama for failing to take on the Chicago machine, for listening to radical advisors, and for backing doctrinaire liberal causes from teachers unions to abortion rights. …
Freddosos book, released today by the conservative publishing house Regnery and provided exclusively to Politico by the publisher, occupies a small island in the often-shrill sea of criticism of Obama. As a range of conservatives suggest that Obama is a closet radical, and as McCains campaign aims to disqualify him from the White House on the grounds of his international fame, Freddoso makes a case that conservatives should look at the presumptive Democratic nominee’s record.
His thesis: Its not that Obama is a bad person. Its just that hes like all the rest of them. Not a reformer. Not a Messiah. Just like all the rest of them in Washington. And just like all the other liberals too.
Freddoso, who writes at National Review, has done extensive research into Barack Obama’s political activities before hitting the national scene at the 2004 Democratic Convention. Obama, he says, is a Daley machine politician, one who avoided efforts at reform that would have damaged that machine.

I’ve got to agree—’cept he’s more extreme and more dangerous than your run of the mill ‘liberal’. He’s a bitter, hard-core, crafty leftist, and that’s what should come out in this campaign.
Concentrate on both his record (including his relationships) and his non-record.
Come at him with all cylinders. Expose him for the fraud we know he is (he will cooperate with that by opening his mouth).
Even more dangerous is his willingness to utilize his race as both a tool for his followers and a club for the opposition.
Obama is so far left that he could be a communist. What people can look at, if they go for Obama, is the old USSR. It didn’t work then and it won’t work now. It’s not impossible if the people don’t pay attention.
Obama is so far left that he could be is a communist.
Fixed it.
The world just lost a great voice (Solzhenitsyn) who warned about the evils of communism in his time and place. Hopefully there will never be an American version of "The Gulag Archipelago", but an Obama presidency will certainly make it possible here and now.
I agree, he is a communist. A lot of the middle-of-the-road moderates don’t want to believe that, but I think the message can be got through to enough of them.
Why don’t we expose both: his lack of experience and when he did have some experience, the record was not good?
I just ordered his book this morning. ;-)
Yes, I think the two can be put together, as in: Obama has experience...as a race-baiting Marxist agitator.
Yes, I thought I’d explicate it for the casual voter. ;-)
The things his wife is spouting tend more toward fascism.
CONTROL over people, requiring work, not allowing division or individualism.
It needs to be phrased correctly,
but it should be a big issue:
Obama thinks it’s “too much burden” to help a born alive baby survive.
