FRiends,How many revolutions failed because the citizens didn't show up to support it? If you're within driving distance of DC, PLEEEEASE contact your representative, ask for a gallery pass, go to his or her office, then hightail it over to the House of Representatives!
We've been waiting for the Republicans to grow a spine for a long time. Well, some of them have done it, so they need a groundswell of grassroots support to encourage them and affirm their decision. For this revolution we don't have to do anything drastic . . . just take a day off work and show up. I'll see you down there Friday!

“The group plans to point to the ties between the GOP and Big Oil.”
“Big OIL”
The oil and natural gas industry is one of the largest employers in
the country, employing millions of Americans in exploring, producing, processing,
transporting, and marketing oil and natural gas. Millions of other jobs are supported by
the industrys purchases of goods and services from other producers. These businesses
include equipment suppliers, construction services, management services, food services,
and many other types of support services.
Is this what Move On is going to ‘push back’ against?
I’d rather be involved in an industry that has contributed to the wealth and success of this country for generations than one (Big Green) that is helping to destroy our economy and way of life with a hoax.
It is way past time for the Republicans to start pushing back hard on ‘Big Green’ and showing the ties between the Democrats and the whole global warming scam.

That's the attitude we need.
We blasted the pubbies for long enough. Now that they have shown some guts we need to support them all the way.

Now someone is talking about visiting the National Renewable Energy labs in Nevada - now a dem is responding. Blah, blah, blah - waiting for $125M for colleges to research new tech areas, to help with the re-tooling of America. Intend to pay for this by taking little tiny sliver of the tax breaks. Yeah; right. Its all about the children.
Rush had a DEM caller on yesterday who made our point without even realizing it. He started out the call saying that GOVERNMENT needs to work harder together AS A TEAM to get legislation like a sound energy policy passed. Then he tried to make an analogy on how teamwork can solve difficult problems. He said that he works for an airline company and for the past two years, the team that he works with worked to make an auxillary power unit that has saved the company $2 million in fuel expenses.
Rush immediately pounced on the opportunity to slap down some knowledge and told the gentleman that the only reason that he and his team were able to come up with a working solution is because there WASN'T any government interference. It was a private company solution.
All of this research meant to be conducted with Federal grant money can be done equally well in the private sector if the TAX MONEY is left in the hands of Americans!

"Speaker Pelosi blocked their plan because it wont help lower gas pricesbut it will line the pockets of Big Oil executives, the same people donating millions of dollars to Republicans"
Yeah...to heck with that whole idea about "voting", "Speaker Pelosi" is the one in complete control of our legislative branch now.
To: mmichaels1970
I watched Pelosi’s interview with Stephanopolis on Sunday.
He asked why she wouldn’t allow a vote.
She goes “I won’t allow a vote because the Republicans have misguided everyone”
So basically because the vote wouldn’t go the way she wanted.. she’s not going to allow it to happen.

(Campaign Carl seemed to suggest that the Repubs were an ungrateful lot for not appreciating Queen Nancys allowing them to have a vacation! I kid you not!)
They should consider this payback for Cindy Sheehan not allowing the President to have a moment of peace when she decided to protest outside of his ranch.

Exactly this is about more than just drilling! The rats, through piglois and the enviros, have blocked every conceivable entrance to energy whether it's coal, oil shale, the Gulf, Anwar, nuclear or what ever. It's time to have a tea party.
