Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi talked about her book Know Your Power: A Message to America’s Daughters. In this book, Speaker Pelosi encourages women to openly talk about their opinions and beliefs. She tells the story of her rise to power as the first woman speaker of the House and the importance of her Catholic faith in her life.
The interview was recorded in the Speaker’s Ceremonial Office in the U.S. Capitol.

I wish there were open lines to talk with Pelosi today. Did her book sales go up any, I wonder? Last I heard, it was 1200 in Amazon. “Watching Paint Dry” was ahead of her.

Bad timing for a book debut Empress Nancy!

"I couldn't believe it. All the hope and good feelings I had for Nancy Pelosi when she took the gavel as Speaker have all but disappeared. This book, for me, was the final straw. It is full of unconnected horrid tripe masquerading poorly as a lecture from a very bitter person.
Know your Power? Really? I guess then that my main source of power should be blaming people whom I disagree with for everything in the entire world that is wrong according to my own narrow viewpoint. I would never hold this book up to my daughter as an example of how to see the world unless it was to show "what not to do". Nancy, I believe that if you had spoken from your heart and had perhaps created a real biography pointing out what you had done instead of this horrible book, you may have strengthened your position. However, after reading it, I fear that you actually believe the rubbish spewed forth in this tomb and can now see why Congress has a 9% approval rating. Horribly disappointing."
And a few weeks ago, Hillary was called “the most powerful woman on earth”. Whatever.
Congress, at its lowest popularity in history and lower than the president, and Pelosi says Pres. Bush is a “total failure.”
Pelosi’s book sales aren’t doing very well. I imagine her book signing tour may not rival Cindy Sheehan’s.
This is the most outrageous B.S. I've ever seen from congress in all my years of conscientiousness. It's one thing to stay true to your idiot convictions on alternative energy at this time, it's a totally different ball game while you're out galavanting around the country on my dime when I need it for fuel and you won't even allow a vote on the issue.
Repubs, you are handed a perfect gift here, you started nicely last Friday. Knowing the American people would back you by a great majority on this issue, if you don't continue and DO something on Monday about this price of fuel pain we're feeling, and save me from freezing this winter when you have the backing of the American public to do so, you have truly become useless, and I will do everything in my power to fire each and every one of you, frozen ass and all come Nov!

How did she find time to write a book, when she was running the world, the US government, and congress and seeing to it that we will go into a deep depression, just so every one whill have a chicken in every pot?

So...... that’s where Nancy rushed off to on Friday - back to her office to get her staff calling the networks - bumping their regular guests so she could have her moment to retaliate?
How do we get this stagnant creature out???
Did Margaret Thatcher prance around England bragging about how she was the “first woman prime minister” and anointing herself as an inspiration to all young girls on the isles? Did she write a book about “woman power” and go on a book tour?
I don’t think so.
Liberal women are by nature shallow, egotistical, and attention starved. Their entire being is wrapped up in their gender and they just have to shout it out to the world if they fluke into some position of prominence. “Look at meeeeeeeee! I’m the first woman to ever achieve this position! All the little girls on earth should be looking at meeeeeeeee as a source for inspiration!”
If McCain picks Sarah Palin as his running mate, and she becomes the first woman vice-president, she won’t write a book declaring herself to be an idol to all the females on earth for achieving that post. She’ll just do her job. The walking ego Nancy Pelosi is a very different type of woman. She’s a feminist, so the entire universe revolves around her.
