Is there any actual statistics on accidents caused by these trucks?

The program hasn’t been around long enough for ‘statistics’.
Would it matter if there were? We have plenty of documentation of the thousands of deaths caused by illegal aliens but that hasn’t stopped the open border crowd, has it?

No, there aren’t, really. Which should give you an indication of why they aren’t plastered over the news.

The Texas DPS has a checkpoint directly after the US Border checkpoint. They check the trucks and then require them to be safe before they can leave. However this is only done in Texas. Indications are that many trucks are very unsafe, however google does not seem to have the articles I remember reading in their search index.
However, the real issue is that just like Canadian truckers, they will not adhere to the terms of the agreement, which is to go back and forth from US to Mexico, and will instead start doing US to US location trucking.

Probably safer than domestic trucks.
This is scam by DEMOCRATIC trucker unions who utilize knee-jerk “Mexico bad” reaction of conservatives.
Classic triangulation.
Do the same crap with Japanese cars. (Me, I say screw GM.)

How about just giving the public the raw data and letting us run our own stats. They should be getting daily reports on trucking accidents from across the nation. If not then why not in this computer age.
