It is with great sadness I tell you our Freeper YaYa123 passed away during the night.
Oh, CAL—it’s so good to see your name on a post again.
I thought we had lost you so long ago.
Please stay. We miss you.
A lot.
I was on WebTV then and the poor thing didn't have enough memory to get the whole thing in.
What ever happened after post #672, I'll never know. :o)
I guess great minds DO think alike, n00b13. (What's this - only signed up in 1998?)
;-)
Where ya been, CAL - things have been pretty tame around here lately - though Friday's doings might be the start of something...
LOL It went on for thousands and thousands and thousands of posts, but I'm not really sure what happened to it! I think it exploded.
And sad news to receive as well.
May she rest in peace and look down upon all of us here.
(What's this - only signed up in 1998?)
Showoff. ;-)
Wow. Haven’t seen you around for a long time. Good to see you back.
Thanks, exit82, you are too kind. Hugs.
Thanks, Lance. It’s always bittersweet when a funeral brings folks together again.
Connie, I’m not ashamed to tell you that my eyes misted up when I saw you posting.
You were such a hard worker for FR and for the March for Justice in ‘98. We all so appreciated all you did to promote FR in the media. You were such a terrific spokesperson.
I think YaYa123 would be so pleased to see this reunion of so many long time Freepers on her “memorial” thread.
She must be smiling now.
And I meant every word of my previous post. You are a treasure.
Just wait until I get logged in, and I'll show you....!
YAYA is laughing at us from the great beyond, I'm sure. Ah--the memories......
Hi Friend
YaYa123 was a treasure and we’ve lost her! I have so many memories, especially around March for Justice, the Impeachment, visit to South Carolina to meet Linda Tripp.
YaYa123 and a small group of fellow FReeper ladies invited me along with them for lunch with Tony Snow at FoxNews. We all showed up bursting with enthusiasm at the appointed time. We were shown into the “Green Room” to wait for Tony. I guess we were too much for the gentleman who was sitting in the Green Room when we all came inside. Bill O’Reilly, who is really really tall, got up immediately, said hello and got out as fast as he could. Alas, something big was breaking on the news that day (Clinton-related) and Tony only had time to show up around the studio and his office. He couldn’t go to lunch, but it didn’t matter. Great day — great memory.
My condolences to the family. 4everontheRight, your remarks in post #8 are on the money.
I agree.
She's a Free Republic treasure, and so are you, CaL.
“Tony only had time to show “us” (not up) around the studio....”
Sorry for the typo — tears!
Hey, YaYa! Remember Tunica!
FReep On!
Bump for a great Lady and patriot!
'Fraidofthat! I KNOW you're armed!
YAYA is laughing at us from the great beyond, I'm sure.
Without a doubt! LOL
What a great story! Thanks for sharing it! Perhaps Linda and Tony have caught up to one another in the hereafter! I know that'd be in YaYa's plans!
