Whereas, some stalwart Republicans stand fast on the floor in The House of Representatives, refusing to call it a day with "The People's Business" yet left undone,

Whereas, Speaker Pelosi and her Democrat cohorts have voted to abandon the needs of the American People in favor of coddling their own personal desires,

Whereas, we are a Nation facing an intensifying energy crisis,

Whereas, it is the sworn duty of our elected Congressional Representatives and Senators to pass the legislations required to facilitat alleviation of the causes of this growing crisis,

Whereas, it is the expressed will of the majority of the people of these United States of American that Congress pave the way for our oil industry sector to DRILL HERE, and DRILL NOW,

Whereas, Congressional Democrats have not only turned a deaf ear to the public voice on this matter, but have, essentially, raised both stiff middle fingers to flip all Americans the "Double Eagle",

Therefore, I hereby call upon all true American patriots to drive at all times with headlights illuminated until such time as Congress shall enact an energy policy enabling an increase in domestic oil exploration, drilling, and refining that is commensurate with our national needs

I furthermore call upon my fellow citizens to, by any available means, prominently display upon their vehicles the simple slogan:

LIGHTS ON FOR DRILLING NOW!!

WE, The People, MUST not concede to be ignored by the bloated Democrat egos presently controlling Congress. We cannot sit idly and allow our national needs to be trumped by tone-deaf, egotistical, partisan political hacks.

I remember once when I was very young and still full of pi$$ and vinegar, I got mad at work one day and just walked out at 4:55pm...

Fully expecting that I had made my point, when I returned to work the next morning, I had been replaced. My boss said he thought I didn't want the job, and declared me fired for walking out early, and called in a replacement.

I learned a good lesson, but it appears congress - at least the left side - needs a good lesson too.

Today, those who walked out, are not doing what they are paid to do...the peoples business. Yes, and don't forget they are PAID and paid well to be congresspersons...they don't do it for love of country...follow the money.

This political bull$sh1+ grandstanding by beanpole pelosi is so transparent and sophmorish, it's pathetic. She is not smarter than a 5th grader, and not as mature as a third grader.

I hope upon hope that Bush will do something to stick it to her bony a$$ this time...like recall Congress, or open up drilling by executive order. I think clinton took over all that land once by executive order...Bush should reverse clintons order just like he did elder Bush's no-drill order, and then issue and order opening offshore and ANWAR.

I *do* know there are Constitutional prohibitions against arresting members of Congress on the Floor of their houses.

You are correct it is illegal to arrest them on the floor of the House! Article I section 6. ... They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be priviledged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

If she has it done she can be removed for violating the law.
