I just turned on FOX and it was Shep Smith speaking about real news (that poor missing child in FL) and then it went to commercial. It makes us look pretty pathetic to be trying to make this into a point of contention. It makes us look really desperate. Judging by the responses I'm seeing here, folks really are desperate.

Y'all may have missed it, but earlier it was announced that the bi-partisan group known as the gang of ten has formulated a comprehensive energy plan that will sweep the Congress.

It's possible even probable that many folks on both sides of the aisle are going to be unhappy over this.

The good side for us (well, ME) is that drilling must be instituted immediately in any place that oil may be found but only outside of 50 miles from shore -- not certain if it includes ANWR. The down side for me as a proponent of internal combustion is that a move must be made to turn all private transportation away from gasoline within 20 years.

There is also a measure of a $7,500 TAX BREAK right now for any US citizen or resident that buys a fuel efficient vehicle. I'm pretty certain that McCain was a member of the GANG OF TEN

Such gangs are globalist stooges plain and simple. They offer stop-gap nonsense to keep the slaves from major rioting.

They are still traitors, imho.

It makes us look pretty pathetic to be trying to make this into a point of contention.

We have a system in place to allow representatives to vote on popular issues. When the House leader goes to extreme lengths to disallow votes, effectively terminating the whole point of a democratic republic, cooperation has broken down to the point where alternative means must be pursued. If an insistence on having an otherwise normal vote (in place of mere mundane recess) doesn't work, the next steps get really ugly really fast.

Apparently Congress missed it too. That does not bode well for whatever constitutes "it".
