I’d volunteer for human experimentation.

Didn’t we have something similar to this years ago? Seems it was called “Speed.”

I don’t think ‘Speed’ is legal.

This study, it should be noted, was performed on a series of 10 vermincycles aka “rodent wheels” constructed out of passivated high-strength aircraft aluminum alloy machined to tolerances of +/- .0001 mm at a cost of $837,300.

‘Speed’ isn’t legal, My comment, though, was more tongue in cheek. Users of it I knew back in the day couldn’t sit still didn’t eat. If I recall correctly, a weaker version of it was in several diet pills for a while.

"For instance, the diabetes drug metformin activates the same enzyme activated by AICAR."

Amphetamines couldn't be more different than metformin, IMHO.

I don’t think ‘Speed’ is legal.

Some amphetamines are prescription drugs.
