Obama-Clinton effort breaks up
The Pittsburgh Tribune Review ^ | July 31, 2008 | Salena ZIto

Vote Both the passionate group devoted to nudging Barack Obama to pick one-time fierce rival Hillary Clinton as his vice presidential running mate is over.

Organizers Adam Parkhomenko and Sam Arora said they were ending their effort since all indications are Hillary would not be Obama’s number two.

"Because it seems that Senator Obama has made his decision to offer the slot on the ticket to another candidate, we believe that continuing to ask him to pick Hillary is no longer helpful to our party's chances of winning in November," they posted on their website.

The writing on the wall for the two former Clinton staffers was when word came around that Obama had offered Clinton a prime-time speaking role on the second night of the party's convention in Denver next month.

Veep nominees nearly always speak on day three of the four day convention.

Hillary joins the team to defeat Obama.

In her opinion she has a better chance to be Pres in 4yrs instead of 8.

More Obama stuff will come out of the closet because of this.

I guess ol Bubba is now off the hook as far as campaigning for Hussein. He must have meant it when he said, “He can kiss my ass”.

Of course it is. Hillary still intends to be the nominee for 2008.

Hillary probably sees a train-wreck coming, and decided to end speculation publicly to seperate herself. She very likely knew privately they would never be partners - so mentioning it publicly has significance beyond just the announcement.

Obama is beyond arrogant - he’s a fool AND an A**hole. Just how does he expect to win the National election, when he has just ticked off a very angry, very vocal group of the DNC voting bloc. Has he never heard the term “Hell hath NO fury like a woman SCORNED?” I’ll bet Hillary has to down several Vodkas before she gets up and speaks on Day “2” of the DNC convention.

Yep, hate to say it, but Hillary hasn’t aged well. But none of us here are so shallow to decide our votes based on the Botox factor. Hillary is too liberal and too much the 2nd coming of Bill Clinton for most of us here, and that’s why we oppose her, not because of appearances.

And most of us here strongly oppose Obama because of his liberal / radical political world view, not because of his race or controversies about his religion.

Hillary very likely WILL be the nominee for 2008.
And I have said it relentlessly for at least six months.

Gee, can’t wait for Hillary’s speech.

The ratings for the political conventions have sharply dropped in recent years. I wonder how many will tune in to hear what Hillary thinks.

Obama is another story, though, as he will speak to 75,000+ at Invesco Field when he accepts the pres. nomination.

And face it, we Freepers are a group who follow politics and social trends much more than most people. Some casual voters haven’t paid attention up to now, but will pay attention starting with Obama’s convention speech. His speech will disguise his liberal radical world view. He will continue on with hope and change themes, and blame Republicans for all the ills of the world, and say “This is our time!”.

Heck none of us need listen to him because we already know what he will say.

the Hilderbeast has been conspicuously absent for weeks = once she got what little she was going to from the obamination camp to help defray her debt - she was outta there.

And she's being very quiet.

Like the “quiet before the storm?”

The convention may be interesting indeed.

Hillary still intends to be the nominee for 2008.

If Obama were somehow arrested, tried and convicted of mass murdering small children between now and the convention he would still get the Democrat nomination.

If the Democrats fail to nominate him for any reason then there is a good chance that a majority of the black voters will finally break from the Democrat plantation - not just for this election but for many elections to come. The Democrats, including Hillary, all know this.

Hillary knows that she will not be the Democrat nominee in 2008. She will do just enough campaigning for Obama to be able to pretend to have supported him, while working behind the scenes to get him defeated. In 2012, she will get the Democrat nomination running on the "I told you not to pick that loser" platform.

Obama might not be the smartest guy, but not dumb enough to pick Hillary for VP.

I sort of agree with you. I am not as sure, but I have felt that she has been lying low (pun intended) and making secret plans for Obama's overthrow. In the meantime I also think that there are plenty of Dems and powers-that-be in that party that are outwardly supporting Obama (for fear of black retaliation or just to appear non-prejudicial) that are either working to expose him, or will happily allow that to happen. I am sure all who know him from working closely with him know that he truly is full of hot air and nothing else and not worth a nickel as far as a candidate. A fast talking salesman can spot another...like they say, it takes one to know one. The Democrat politicians know what he truly is.

I think they are just giving Obama enough rope to hang himself, and when all the stuff he says, and is incapable of understanding, and his own prejudicial feelings, and motivation that is based on his own jealousy of others, when all that comes to light...then they will pull Hillary out of the shadows and proclaim her the savior for the Democrat party. Obama is only getting his 15 minutes of fame. I think they are allowing him to carry the banner because it excites a section of the country that they could not reach with Hillary. Once it is closer to the primary...and after Obama is shown to be damaged goods, Hillary will rise again. It is all a plan.

The party doesn't care who the election funds are spent on, just so they have some Democrat in the lead. Obama was exciting, Hillary became boring. So they let Obama steal the limelight for a while and keep the Dems in the news. With a focus on and stories about Obama's past, and his continued stupid statements and ideas people will eventually loose interest in this bumbler. Hillary might be disgusting, but I think she is their "Hail Mary," play!

More important, once the Messiah is flushed into the septic tank, the Obama acolites are going to blame Hillary for pulling the handle. After that, they'd vote for Bush before even considering the Witch. OPERATION CHAOS continues and grows stronger!
