(EDITED!) AFA GIVES $500K TO FIGHT FOR MARRIAGE IN CALIFORNIA
AFA E-mail ^ | July 30, 2008 | Don Wilemon

MODERATOR: THIS IS MY THIRD POSTING OF AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. THE "SOLICITATION" LANGUAGE WAS REMOVED BEFORE I POSTED IT THE SECOND TIME, AND IT IS REMOVED IN THIS POST.

AFA gives $500,000 to help the fight for marriage in California

Years of savings go to fight the battle

July 30, 2008

AFA has given $500,000 to ProtectMarriage.org, the organization leading the fight for the passage of Proposition 8 in California. Proposition 8 defines marriage as being between a man and a woman.

Where did this money come from?

AFA works on the premise that we have an obligation to be good stewards of the gifts given to this ministry. We don’t buy anything on credit. We have no debt. We are careful to make sure your gifts are used wisely. We are very frugal with your gifts.

Over the years we have been putting aside some money, knowing that when the need came we would have the funds to meet that need. The $500,000 we gave to ProtectMarriage.org came from those savings.

The battle for marriage in California is very important. If California defeats Proposition 8, it will open the floodgates for same sex marriage in all the other states. The battle in California isn’t simply about California. It will affect every state, yours included. The homosexual groups have already raised millions, and are expected to spend nearly $20 million to destroy marriage as it has existed for thousands of years.

That is why we chose to give the money to the group in California fighting the battle. They needed financial support. *DONATION REQUEST REMOVED*

Sincerely,

Don

Founder and Chairman

I wish the news media would be intellectually honest as they cover the homosexual marriage story. They present it as equivalent to the civil rights movement of the ‘50s and ‘60s. And they imply that homosexual marriage is the same as inter-racial marriage, and that these court cases are equivalent to court cases which overturned bans on inter-racial marriage.

I wish they would be honest enough to state that the ongoing goal is to eventually have the U.S. Supreme Court impose same-sex marriage on all 50 states. I wish they would be honest enough to state that family law is full of other relationships besides marriage, such as parent/child, in-law relationships, cousin relationships, and that a homosexual relationship should not have to be treated as a marriage.

They should be honest that man/woman monogomous marriage does not discriminate against anyone, because any elegible man can marry any eligible woman, thus, there is no discrimination as such.

Instead, as the campaign goes on, I expect the MSM to imply that bigoted ignorant people, who don’t want to celebrate diversity, are behind the moves to ban same-sex marriage. And especially since it’s in California, expect the Hollywood idiots to come out in force to urge votes against this amendment.

Yup, the liberals, using their mega-mouthpiece (MSM), continually label anyone who opposes any of their pet causes as bigots and/or “xphobes.” Liberalism as it exists today is an insidious evil birthed and advanced by Satan, one of his most successful campaigns ever. Whatever is of God, Satan longs to corrupt, and marriage as an institution is so very central to the relationship between God and man.

Homosexuality is a sin singled out by God as an abomination. Attempting to combine that sin with the institution of marriage is an exercise in perversion, one more repugnant attempt by Satan to corrupt what God has done. And as I’ve said several times on here, I believe a society’s embrace of homosexuality is a sign that the moral rot of that society has reached a fatal level.

The MSM as they currently exist will NEVER be intellectually honest. NEVER. Their causes trump all in their perverted minds. Given the way the MSM will fight against Prop8, along with the fact that the California SOS has intentionally created confusing language for the ballot, this could turn out to be close.

I’m very pleased to see AFA step up to the plate with such a meaningful show of support.

Nice gesture, but even if Prop 8 passes, it will have as much teeth as Prop 187 (anti-illegal). Today PG&E donated $250K to defeat Prop 8. Why a corporation can take the $ it charges people and use it for such a litical end is beyond me. Next they'll be funding Planned pParenthood.

Though it pains me to say it, same sex "marriage" across the country is inevitable. There are more homosexuals these days because so many people stay in self-absorbed perpetual adolescence and refuse too grow up. Fight the good fight, but Satan will win in the short term. Most younger people have been completely brainwashed and have no problem with SS relationships. Many modern psychology courses teach that anyone who is against homosexuality is irrationally homophobic or secretly homosexual themselves. This thinking is designed to shut people up. The possibility that one could disagree with homosexual practice and not be either a "hater" or latent homosexual simply is not allowed.

Man is way smarter than God, dontcha know.

I agree that it’s inevitable (unless something happens to turn this nation back to God), giving Satan the short-term victory. BUT, even though we know how it turns out, I think we’re still obliged to fight every step of the way for Godly principles.

“...BUT, even though we know how it turns out, I think we’re still obligated to fight every step of the way for Godly principles.”

Amen to that brother. We are never to be fatalistic as Christians. We do our duty for Him, He takes care of everything else.

Well now we learn that one of CA's biggest utility companies had donated $250,000 to defeat Prop #8!!!

Where's the FR thread to debate and defeat this move by a stockholder owned utility. This will increase costs of their healthplan and pensionplan and cut deeply into profits of this "widows and orphans" type security in the future. Where's the lawsuit about that???

It will kill their company just like meeting pension obligations are already killing GM and Ford and many local governments like the City of Vallejo, CA right now in bankruptcy!!! Have these people gone nuts???

Jerry Brown has already tinkered with the title of Prop #8 to make it appear that voting for Prop #8 will be voting to take a long-standing right of marriage away from these risky relationships! "That old serpent, the devil, roameth about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, knowing he hath but a short time." (Revelation)

If you heard Savage's show today, he opened with the notion that liberalism has reached it's end (why things look so ugly today) and that things will be turning back toward a more conservative America.

About an hour into the show, a lady called to tell him that her 15 y.o. daughter loved him. I've seen some young people reject the 'status quo'- be it with orange/red/blue hair and guess what: the status quo is "liberalism"!

These little buggers are rejecting liberalism. Who'd a thunk it? We need to take them out to the range.

Two things will happen this year: Rump Rangers won't get a license to "range", and the Big Eared Marxist gets a ticket back to Chicago where he can do what he does best: community organize.

Hey, if we ever get back to living within the confines of our constitution and bill of rights, the livibality index in this place will skyrocket.
