In case you missed the recent media frenzy, my Republican opponent and Fox News conservative Bill O'Reilly have questioned my commitment to Florida and my qualifications to represent my district in Congress. Let me set the record straight......
My wife, Laurie, and I purchased property in Maryland so our family could be together, and I established my residency at my in-laws' home in Delray Beach. The Florida Supreme Court has ruled that a federal official working in Washington automatically keeps his Florida residency while serving. There is no requirement to own property to serve in Congress....
O'Reilly, in particular, has a "vendetta against" me because I forwarded an e-mail to my supporters criticizing Fox News for its biased reporting......
.....As a result, Laurie and I have decided to lease a residence of our own in my congressional district......in Florida.

Gives me the creeps.
“There is no requirement to own property to serve in Congress....”
A true lie. You don’t know to “own” property in you stae of residence to serve in Congress, you can rent a residence. Wexler does neither. What a dissembling POS.
I thought he had a man-crush on Scott McCellan.
Clinton has taught us all to “parse” such phrases carefully. You might call it lying with an irrelevant truth.
Thus, one of his commonest sayings while he was president, in response to any charge against him, was: “There is no evidence.” Meaning that he had carefully shredded it.
Good for BOR. If only he was as hard on Obama. Hey, BOR Obama ain’t coming on your show so give it up and stop kissing his arse.
The other night, BOR was defending Obama’s decision to workout at the Ritz rather than visit wounded soldiers..what a putz.
I hope the voters in that District toss him out on his ear in November. You don’t even care enough about your constituents to live in the same District with them.
Hit the road, Jack.
This is the typical Democratic response to being caught: don’t admit that you did something wrong/sleazy and make ammends by correcting it. (of course thereby acknowledging that it was wrong/sleazy in the first place, but who’s gonna notice?)
Wexler is a worm.
1. Is Wexler paying any of the property taxes for the property he owns in state of Maryland.
2. Does the Florida ruling affect his Maryland residence?
3. Technically, his in-laws own the residence in Florida, is there a lease agreement showing Wexlers as a resident of the property?
4. If he represents your district, shouldn't he live there instead of 1500 miles away?
This is just the begining of this issue. Wexler, by admitting he is now leasing a residence in Florida, has basically admitted he is doing something wrong, or at the very least unethical.
I hope the voters in that District toss him out on his ear in November. ........................ Unlikely, most are from NYC and they love him because when he speaks to them they don’t need a hearing aid. LOL
The comments to the article raise some interesting points as well.
Typical Dem: “One rule for me, another for thee.”
By his logic, I could establish my parent’s home in Florida as my legal residence. I could stay here in NC, but not have any tax obligations, other than the property tax on the home I own here, and sales-tax on my expenditures. COOL! I’ll have to look into this!
.
Wexler = typical cynical communist.
And like all worms he’s very good at crawling in a stinking hole and hiding. The filthy rat only lets you email him if you prove that you live in his district. Rep. Bill Young from my district, as a counter example, has a standard house email address that he leaves open for all to see and use on his website. I could call the rat’s office on the phone, but a nicely written email would be so much more eloquent and satisfying.
Worms are insulted you compared them to Wexler. Worms are useful, unlike Wexler!!
He's one of the worst-of-the-worst left-wing scumbags in D.C.
