Gives me the creeps.
“There is no requirement to own property to serve in Congress....”
A true lie. You don’t know to “own” property in you stae of residence to serve in Congress, you can rent a residence. Wexler does neither. What a dissembling POS.
Good for BOR. If only he was as hard on Obama. Hey, BOR Obama ain’t coming on your show so give it up and stop kissing his arse.
The other night, BOR was defending Obama’s decision to workout at the Ritz rather than visit wounded soldiers..what a putz.
I hope the voters in that District toss him out on his ear in November. You don’t even care enough about your constituents to live in the same District with them.
Hit the road, Jack.
This is the typical Democratic response to being caught: don’t admit that you did something wrong/sleazy and make ammends by correcting it. (of course thereby acknowledging that it was wrong/sleazy in the first place, but who’s gonna notice?)
Wexler is a worm.
1. Is Wexler paying any of the property taxes for the property he owns in state of Maryland.
2. Does the Florida ruling affect his Maryland residence?
3. Technically, his in-laws own the residence in Florida, is there a lease agreement showing Wexlers as a resident of the property?
4. If he represents your district, shouldn't he live there instead of 1500 miles away?
This is just the begining of this issue. Wexler, by admitting he is now leasing a residence in Florida, has basically admitted he is doing something wrong, or at the very least unethical.
Typical Dem: “One rule for me, another for thee.”
By his logic, I could establish my parent’s home in Florida as my legal residence. I could stay here in NC, but not have any tax obligations, other than the property tax on the home I own here, and sales-tax on my expenditures. COOL! I’ll have to look into this!
.
*clicks heels three times*
There is no controlling legal authority
There is no controlling legal authority
There is no controlling legal authority
That’s an excellent job snipping that story. Wexler whines and whines about his innocence, but then comes that last line. Perfect.

This guy needs to be run out of the state on a rail. His whole argument (or at least as much as I could stomach) sounds so weasally, it could have come from Bubba Clinton.
I can guarantee you that Wexler has not been paying the steep MD taxes because he has been claiming FL has his residence even though he owns no property or claims no homestead.
Furthermore, if Wexler truly thought he was on firm legal ground, why go out and prove he is a FL resident by now renting an apartment?
State v. Dennis also says - An inhabitant has been defined as one who, being a citizen, dwells or has his home in some particular town where he has municipal rights and duties and as subject to particular burdens; and this habitancy may exists or continue not that absence is not so long or such a nature as to interrupt pr destroy the
municipal relations previously formed. Dennis v. State, (1879) 17 Fla. 789.
Does he sleep on the couch?
How many nights has he stayed at the home in the past 5 years?
I wonder if I could run for Congress in Maine while I live in Hawaii. (I could have the best of both worlds — Hawaii.. and being a CONGRESSMAN.)
Wexler, at 47, is 8 years TOO YOUNG to be a resident of a 55-and-older gated community.
He’s a democrat politician, therefore he lies. (Other pols are PROBABLY lying)
That POS crawls out of whatever hole he claims as a residence whenever he has the opportunity to do mischief. I understand he said he pays taxes in MD which would seem to make him a legal resident of Maryland who, somehow, represents a district in Florida. I do not understand how this is legally possible and why this isn’t considered a criminal act. Parhaps some FR Floridians who know something about the law, US and Florida, can comment. Isn’t it possible for the State of Florida to invalidate his election and remove him from office? I’m incredulous at his brazenness and the seeming lack of anger and action about his behaviour.
