I guess the $5/gallon gas articles are no longer shocking.

Hard to shock a herd of jackasses—guess turning down the heat a bit on the pot w/the frog in it works, the frog is no longer trying to jump out.Next, maybe there will no longer a need for the uproar for drilling.

“We announced our support of legislation of any kind that will increase domestic energy supplies and decrease energy costs for our domestic poor.”
The problem is, with a Democrat Congress, the solution is more like to be “Energy Stamps” than efforts to increase domestic energy production.

If Democrats gain control over all branches of Government, we’ll be seeing $10 a gallon gas.

“President Bush has lifted the Executive Order on new oil and gas exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf. This is an important first step, but must be followed by specific congressional action.”
Harry, do you suppose there is a direct correlation between our 9% approval rating and the high price of gas.
Oh Nancy, you are just being paranoid — the American people want to save the environment, just watch, when gas gets up to $6.00 a gallon, we will more popular than ever, and me, you, and Al...we will be Hero’s.
Gee Harry, you are the smartest guy I know. I know Nancy, I know.
The clue-less-ness is astounding!!!!

NEWSFLASH for the Townhall writer. Your article is a little late. Gas prices have been continuing to fall since Bush signed bill to open up closed areas of offshore drilling. IF you really care about the poor, write a letter to Pelosi and the other Democrats and tell then to support drilling.

In that mish mash of special interest groups known as the Democratic Party, the poor are only a means to an end. The eco-fascists have the money and their fanatical hysterical extremism will trump the needs of the poor.

I’m not ready for it, and neither is the economy. $6 gas will cause a depression.

No, I’m not.
Remember a few years ago when 2 bucks was considered too much?

Remember, a few years ago, when water was ‘free’, and available just about everywhere?

New Democrat slogan, we too busy saving the planet, to worry about saving you little people money.

?
There are water fountains and restaurants will serve tap water for free (with purchase of something else). I don’t care for my local tap water though.

I cannot understand why, when the energy issue and American opinion could not be more clear nor obvious, the Republican party sits quietly and keeps its collective opinion to itself. I know from a few articles posted here that some are working for their voters, but if I didn't come to Free Republic I'd never know. Does anyone have the number for Republican party headquarters? Please give them a wake up call. Their issue is ready for pick up.
