FINALLY Hollywood makes a film that says President George W Bush was right.
But director Christopher Nolan had to disguise it a little, so journalists wouldn't freak and the film's more fashionable stars wouldn't walk.
So he hides Bush in a cape. He even sticks a mask on him, with pointy ears for some reason.

Honestly, I thought the same thing about Batman and the lines about him in “The Dark Knight”.
Now if you want to blow major chunks, see “X-files, I want to believe”. As a long time fan, I was disappointed.
As a Conservative & Catholic, it made me want to hurl.
Wow. I thought I was the only one who saw that.
Will read after I see the film!
God Bless President Bush!
An excellent read.
OH YES!!!!
Make sure you see the film first. In IMAX if possible.
TOTALLY blew me away.
The Dark Knight is largely based on Frank Miller’s Batman ... and Miller is apparently as conservative as they come.
****** From Wikipedia *********
On January 24th, 2007, in an interview with American radio station National Public Radio, Frank Miller talked about his political views.[3][4] On the issue of the second Iraq war, he said : “Mostly I hear people say, ‘Why did we attack Iraq?’ for instance. Well, we’re taking on an idea. Nobody questions why after Pearl Harbor we attacked Nazi Germany. It was because we were taking on a form of global fascism, we’re doing the same thing now.” In his view, America lacks firmness against its enemies: “It seems to me quite obvious that our country and the entire Western World is up against an existential foe that knows exactly what it wants... and we’re behaving like a collapsing empire. Mighty cultures are almost never conquered, they crumble from within. And frankly, I think that a lot of Americans are acting like spoiled brats.” About those being fought against, Miller said “For some reason, nobody seems to be talking about who were up against, and the sixth century barbarism that they actually represent. These people saw peoples heads off. They enslave women, they genitally mutilate their daughters, they do not behave by any cultural norms that are sensible to us. Im speaking into a microphone that never could have been a product of their culture, and Im living in a city where three thousand of my neighbors were killed by thieves of airplanes they never could have built.” Miller also claimed that Iraq declared war on the US

The Dark Knight was a very conservative movie — and a masterpiece of crime-drama ... on the level of The Departed. A great movie.
H
His two Batman movies will give him 4 movies in IMDB's top 250 of all time.
Somehow I doubt it.
GENIUS.
I KNEW THERE WAS A DEEP REASON I LOVED THE MOVIE!
I’ve heard good things about The Prestige ... hasn’t quite hit the top of my Netflicks list. Never heard of the other one.
I loved Batman Begins. It was the first Batman movie that finally got the character right ... a dark, driven hero who channels his rage into a productive outlet. Bale’s Batman was dark and menacing — not just a reincarnated Superman in black. There was a logical explanation to Batman’s existence, and to all the paraphernalia surrounding Batman.
The fight scenes were shot ingeniously. They were dark and fast. You couldn’t ever really see Batman ... just a glimpse, a shadow. As his opponents would likely see him. Just as Batman should be. Batman Begins ranked up there with Spiderman 2, X-Men 2, and Superman Returns among the best superhero movies of all time.
... until the Dark Knight just blew everyone else out of the water. It was leaps-and-bounds better than Begins, Superman Returns, Spiderman 2 or X-Men 2. The story was compelling, the characters convincing, the writing superb, and the acting unparalleled. When Eckhart’s Harvey Dent and Bale’s Bruce Wayne, both brilliant portrayals in their own right, are so overshadowed by Ledger’s Joker ... you know you’ve got a truly great movie. Ledger’s Joker surpasses Stamp’s General Zod (as well as Spacey’s Lex Luthor, Molina’s Doc Ock and Nicholson’s Joker ... my remaining top 5) as the best villain in any superhero movie. If he doesn’t win an Oscar, it will be a travesty of justice.
I cannot recommend this movie highly enough. The writing, acting, directing and cinematography are all superb — and the underlying messages of the film are fundamentally conservative.
“Why So Serious?!?!”
H
If Nolan had BDS could he write a script like this? Anyone have any links etc.... that says he admires Bush on the WOT?
If you haven’t seen “The Prestige” — see it. It was a 2+ hours that was worth sitting still for. BTW Michael Caine steals the movie.
I saw the movie this weekend.I left feeling that the director should win an Oscar for best director. Great Film
????
Really?
I'm a huge James Marsden fan and couldn't make it through the whole movie.
The special features rocked though.
And more than “Why so serious?” I think “Ta-da!” has become the biggest line from the movie.
Say that to anyone who has seen it and they will either laugh or wince.
>>Superman Returns<< ???? Really?
Yeah. Overall, I liked it. Needed more punch at the end ... maybe one more action sequence. Like Routh and Spacey a lot. Bosworth was a little lackluster (though far prettier than Kidder). Certainly not a perfect movie — too much love story — but definitely in the top tier of comic book movies.
>> And more than Why so serious? I think Ta-da! has become the biggest line from the movie. Say that to anyone who has seen it and they will either laugh or wince.
I’m in the “laugh” camp.
H
>>Certainly not a perfect movie too much love story <<
Oh, oh! You are absolutely correct!!!
And although I adored X-2, the love story was too much in that as well.
“Make sure you see the film first. In IMAX if possible.
TOTALLY blew me away.”
Me too. I’ve seen it twice already.
I’m worse than the teenyboppers.
I want to see it again, because you keep catching bits and pieces you missed before.
Ledger’s performance is amazing.
The voice alone is an incredible feat. He completely changed his voice for this role (and he did for Brokeback too - but that got lost in the hoopla)
The mannerisms of the joker - amazing.
Batman’s voice too - you can’t have cool toys like that with a whimpy voice - the voice justifies the gadgets.
“He isn’t a hero. He’s more than that....”
