The Gifts to Army Web site,( http://giftstoarmy.army.mil/) launched Monday, is an online resource developed to streamline and process gifts to the Army that benefit Soldiers and their Families. Citizens often ask Soldiers, their Family members, and Army Civilians how they can support their Army. They want to know how they can help men and women in uniform. This Web site will provide the public an online resource to answer the question: How can we help?

Site sure is slow loading. Perhaps its not fully up yet?
In any event, its a great idea.
I couldn’t get in either - got a “document contains no data message”.
Can get to the army press release but link in release to actual site is a problem.
I got right to it. User’s server? Idunno?
Seems to be working better now on my end.

As a retired career serviceman who suffered through both the Carter and Clinton years I can tell you the best gift to an American soldier is to give them a Commander in Chief that they can believe in and be proud of. Hussein is not that gift. Although I have problems with McCain I do admit he would be the best gift we could give our military at this time.
I do too ... now.
Very philosophical, but the needs of the wounded, ill and injured servicemen and women are HUGE.
We CANNOT rely on the gummint (translation: Federal beauracracy) to meet their needs. It has to be a moral imperative of the average citizen.
Bump and mark...
