I emailed the owner of this website and he told me a high ranking source said there is some buzz in Washington D.C. that John McCain will announce on Monday that Colin Powell has accepted his invitation to be his Vice-Presidential Nominee http://www.mikefrancesa.com/wordpress/?p=946

Total Bullcrap. A rumour? A LAME rumour to boot. Powell is since years a defeatist and cut'n'runner on Iraq. He lambasted the US before an Arab audience. To finish things off Powell has endorsed Obama.
The suggestion that McCain would pick Powell is ridiculous at best.

McCain would be stupid to do this because Obama already has the black vote sewn up.Stupidity hasn't stopped him before.

Powell is a super-RINO. He won’t get any large number of blacks to vote for McCain, and will drive away conservatives

This is what I think is going to happen....The voices in my head tell me that when McCain announces his VP pick, we all will collectivly say, "didn't see that coming".
I wonder if all these "rumored names" are only being put out there to see them "crash & burn".
BTW my voices are wrong many times......... LOL ;0)

McCain would be stupid to do this because Obama already has the black vote sewn up. And everybody knows it. But there is a larger voting bloc which this might appeal to; guilty white people, who might be able to convince themselves that a vote for Powell is just like a vote for Obama.

That’s just nonsense. McCain will be looking at the numbers when he will make his choice. It’s not Powell.
And it’s a lot smarter to let the Dems pick theirs before McCain announces his.

Truth is McCain could put Hillary on his ticket and 2 days later the McCainiacs would be telling us all how conservative she is.
Truth is McCain will do as he pleases cause he knows you ain’t got nowhere to go. LOL

Why assume that the rumor is true? People believe it. People talk about it and write about it. But it doesn’t mean that it’s true.
Why announce a VP now and lose the advantage of picking someone to outdo Obama’s VP?

He keeps f-ing up on so many other levels, so this is probably true.
I give up.
To: MikeFrancesa.com
He doesn’t qualify as a Republican let alone a RINO!

That probably will happen anyway. I guess we will find out election day. Or maybe months later after they sort through all the cheating and allegations of fraud.

And its just a rumor, no different than hope.Hope for change.
Because hope can keep change alive, when change might otherwise remain unhoped for, or unchanged.

O does indeed have the black vote.
There is NO black person that M could choose that would sway blacks to vote for him.
Picking Powell would be obvious pandering and it would even turn off a lot of whites who currently support him.
To: saveliberty
The Rs know that voters could stay home. Maybe he will choose Ron Paul!!!!!! /sarc/sarc/sarc!!!!!!
runs like hell
