Records Say Chinese Gymnasts May Be Under Age
The New York Times ^ | July 27, 2008 | Juliet Macur

China named its Olympic women’s gymnastics team on Friday, and the inclusion of at least two athletes has further raised questions, widespread in the sport, about whether the host nation for the Beijing Games is using under-age competitors.

The American girls are the current world champs. US vs. China is the big rivalry for the Olympics.

Hey, they are communists, like our democrats, the rules don’t apply to them.

It’s 16, as the minimum age. It’s accdg to the NYT, who are liars so I had to check the USOC website, which is correct.

Of course, the commies have a set of rules ONLY for themselves, as well as being the host nation, so they’ll probably get a pass from the IOC, who are also closet-China commie lovers.

Hey, it’s china’s games—they get to make teir own rules—kind of like their toxic imports to the US. Just shut up and take it—we wouldn’t want to offend anyone—just ask the Pres. and bho.

What is the opposite of HGH?

I don’t know about HGH, but I saw a special about doping of Olympic athletes in the former communist East Germany (DDR). It was universal, totally govermentally organized, a state secret, effective for medal-winning, and, utterly horendous to the athletes.

Such hormonal/steroidal tampering left many of these athletes sterile, and functional hermaphrodites, not to mention greatly increasing their cancer rates, and shortening their life-spans. Another side effect (which very vigorous training can do anyway) was shutting down a girl’s reproductive system and delaying the completion (or onset) of puberty.

Communist countries by their nature use individuals as pawns for the sole beneifit of the State—their health and well being be d*mned—even if they are kids. After all, as Trotsky said, “you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet...”

I don’t care if they’re eight years old. The Olympics is nothing more than professional athletes using whatever means they can to win, including using banned substances if they can get away with it. They shouldn’t have any rules. The “athletes” should be able to use steroids, blood doping, drugs, robotic implants. Hell, they should be able to have half man half leopard people. Think how cool it would be if, after a race, an American competitor ate some Chines athlete who just beat him- and then charged into the crowd and started biting spectators and photographers and stuff and then his own coach had to shoot him. Damn, I’d watch the Olympics for that.

China has a stack of Hawaiian birth certificates proving they were born in 1992 or before.

Interesting. There’s the article the other day here at FR I cannot find right now about how American, specifically American Gymnastic Alternates aren’t allowed to practice in China, therefore are training in Japan. If they are needed to replace any of the American team, they have to be flown in hopefully in time for the event.

Stacking the deck.

Stacking the deck.

this is not surprising to me at all... i am looking for the Olympics to be one of many controversial rulings and judgments favoring China...

I read somewhere that the Chinese refused to grant visas to the U.S. gymnastic alternates — so they have to train far away, and may not be available if one of the girls has an injury.

I wouldn’t put it past them to redirect their pollution into the buildings housing our athletes.
