Obama won't pick VP for 'funeral duty'

DEMOCRATIC White House hopeful Barack Obama said today he will pick a vice-presidential running mate who will "help me govern" and not just somebody "who I send off to go to funerals".
Obama, in an interview with NBC's Meet the Press, said his vice-presidential choice would be "somebody who can help me govern, who I can work with, who has a shared vision".
"I'm not interested in a vice president who I send off to go to funerals," he said. "I want somebody who is going to roll up their sleeves and be willing to work."

It would be pretty tacky what with Mrs. Clinton celebrating and dancing in the streets on the way from an Obamma funeral.
Hilleary? Blech.... Though we were rid of her. This is the worst election year I can remember in my life and I thought 2000 was bad.
He should pick someone who CAN govern because he himself surely won’t be able to.

The way I read this is that Barry knows he needs someone with ... G-R-A-V-I-T-A-S.
Someone like ...... Dick Cheney.
Which if Barry did win would be kinds cool in one respect. Then we could say .. "'X' is Barry's Brain." "Barry is an idiot, 'X' runs the country."
The only dilemma there for Barry is that the only RAT with 'gravitas' is ... Joe Biden. 
But, she'll have to duck the sniper fire. Specially at Camp LeJeune.

Young supporters of Obama hate Hillary, and Michelle is known to really loathe the former first lady. Obama is mentioning Hillary in public just to try and appease her and her blue collar and female supporters. I think he’s going to pick Daschle or Biden. On a side note, I think McCain is down to 4 possibilties for his own choice:
Palin
Romney
Portman
Ridge
I’m a big Palin fan who could support Romney or Ridge but am neutral on Portman.
