Obama Campaign Site: Alzheimer's Disease is Funny

Alzheimer’s Disease is certainly not funny to anyone who has lost a relative to a neurodegenerative disease, but Barack Obama’s supporters apparently think otherwise. The following material is sanctioned by the campaign’s moderators, whose job is to remove “offensive” and “disrespectful” material from My.BarackObama.com. We encourage our readers to circulate this material as widely as possible.

Barack Obama's supporters seem to think Alzheimer's disease is funny, and the same for the term "senior moments" that they apply to McCain quite liberally.

Note that the Obama campaign exercises editorial control over this Web site.

The more they say crap like this and the more they make fun of McCain’s age, the more I think its going to hurt them in the end. By accusing McCain of being irrelevant due to his age, by extension, they’re accusing *anyone* at or near his age of being irrelevant.

Not a good campaign strategy. Its downright idiotic when you consider that seniors usually vote Dem because the Dems play the fear-mongering card and scare them on social security. They’re alienating a fairly reliable part of their own base.

Then again, its not surprising. He’s anything but the Hope, Change and Unity candidate he’s portraying himself as.

Q. Why will Ted Kennedy vote for Barack Obama?

A. Brain tumor.

Waiting for these same Democrat voters to ask Senators Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, and Tim Johnson to step down.

Posted by “angels of hope” and “dreams of peace”.

Funny how reality often puts the lie to a user name, isn’t it?

Wish there was a way to forward these posts to the liberal icon, Michael J Fox.

Bet he’d shake himself to death, laughing.

Democrats don’t care about old people, just their votes.

Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders said that old people are gonnna die anyway and that we need to focus health care on the young people that are going to cover he Social Security.

As I age I am so going to start faking early Alzheimer’s. Then I’ll be able to do anything I want and they’ll just think it’s the disease.

What about BO’s Borderline Personality Disorder/Narcissism?

IMO,that makes him far more unelectable. I see no "early Alzheimer's" in McCain. I do see those frustrating moments when adults over the age of 45 or so find themselves blocking a word or running through the list of family names until they arrive at the correct one. Entering a room and then wondering why you did so is common. You can start to worry when you lose the concept of *room*.

I really hope that when this common occurance befalls the young idealists, they worry themselves sick over whether or not they, too, have *early Alzheimers*. Then they will understand what their parents meant by *Halfheimers* and CRS Syndrome.

My father, a WWII vet, died last year April from Alzheimer’s.

He was my fishing and hunting partner, my friend, my hero, and the man I admired most in my life and the one I have tried to emulate as best as possible.

It is not very funny when this stuff happens to you and I hope it never happens to these worthless pieces of Dummy filth. I wonder if they would still be laughing while trying to take care of their parents as they degenerate and turn within themselves.

Sorry, but my monitor is getting foggy.

Take care of their parents! Are you kidding? They'd gift Mom and Dad with a membership in the Hemlock Society before ever taking care of them.

(I lost my Dad to Alzheimer's, too, a few years ago. He was also a WWII vet.)

I live 850 miles from my parents and my sister, who is retired, shut down her home and moved in with them to help out. God bless her forever.

My brother, retired Air Force (like me) lives near them and also helped immensely.

I would take a couple of weeks every six months or so as I could without losing my business and go help out.

He passed away at home with my Mom holding his hand while my sister was cooking dinner. I was picking up my daughter from college to get there in time but missed by a day.

He died in the home he built with his own hands with family there. Not in some cold caretaker facility.

I pray that I can do the same when my time comes.

I took care of my Dad for 8 years in my home. I doubt that the Obamaites posting this tripe would do the same for their “loved ones.”

I agree! When a major part of the electorate is over the age of 65, it is a grave mistake to show them how intolerant you are of the sin of age! BO already has a major problem with support of those over the age of 40, why make it worse?

My father died from a related neurodegenerative disease. Well, this little piece of Obamamaniac humor may just cost their figurehead the election and then, to paraphrase Obama’s friend Michael Pfleger, there will be a whole lot of MoveOn.org-ers crying. I actually like Henry V’s line better, with regard to the Dauphin’s mocking gift of tennis balls:

And tell the pleasant prince this mock of his
Hath turn’d his balls to gun-stones; and his soul
Shall stand sore charged for the wasteful vengeance
That shall fly with them: for many a thousand widows
Shall this his mock mock out of their dear husbands;
Mock mothers from their sons, mock castles down;
And some are yet ungotten and unborn
That shall have cause to curse the Dauphin’s scorn.

The lesson is that the Dauphin’s idea of humor (an insult intended to start a war) could easily cost thousands of lives, and “Alzheimer’s is Funny” could easily cost the phony smile and the empty suit the November election.
