Latin culture everywhere looks down on blacks and “indios” but ethnic and racial prejudice in latin America doesn’t explain why the same groups that lag there also lag here anymore than blaming racism for minority failures there explains it here either.
Do blacks and and Amerindians lag all over the Americas simply because of prejudice?
Hardly.
Arabs, Chinese, Jews, Indians, Hungarians, Croats, Japanese all move into any Latin nation and join in the mercantile class and tend to prosper.
Some groups just simply lag more than others for many reasons and have for centuries..in some cases as in alcoholism with Amerindians it’s a deep cause which is more than just cultural
geographic isolation is about the only definable culprit I can pinpoint and the cultural and “evolutionary” consequences that generates.
I also believe the “Bell Curve” is a major factor.
The five wealthiest men in Panama are either Sephardic Jewish or Arab Christian. Look around Latin America, and you will see that wealth is concentrated disproportionately among immigrants of European, Middle Eastern, and Asian ancestry that have arrived over the past 100 years or so.

My politically incorrect comment: I have little sympathy for folks who complain about being "violently driven from their neighborhoods" when the parents and grandparents drove away previous folks of the pale persuasion, often through violence, 40 years ago.
My original point stands: socially maladjusted thugs fighting it out in the pig trough for mierda. If we're lucky, the herd will get culled in the process.
