MOSCOW (AFP)--British-Russian oil company TNK-BP chief executive, Robert Dudley, has been summoned to appear before Russian prosecutors on Monday to explain "violations" of labor laws by his company, Interfax news agency reported Saturday. Dudley "temporarily" left Russia this week, the company said Thursday, saying he would run the company from outside the country.

This is crazy. They effectively forced this British Petroleum CEO guy to leave Russia yesterday because they refused to give him a visa. Now they're hauling him back on some trumped-up charges. The corrupt Russian system is being used to kick BP out of the joint venture.
As the article notes, this project in Russia accounts for a quarter of BP's global oil output.
