He is charged with having the blood of 20,000 lives on his hands and of bringing an entire country down by ethnic hatred.
Today relatives of the thousands of victims said they had been waiting for this moment of justice for 13 years.

Ratko Mladic was the highest ranking field officer in the Yugoslav Army on May 11, 1992.
On May 12, 1992 he becomes the highest ranking officer, field or staff, in the Army of the Republika Srpska. Not only does Belgrade not complain, not only does Belgrade not cashier him and court martial him for treason and abandoning his loyalty to the Yugoslav Army, they permit him to bring almost his entire command - one-third of Yugoslavia's regular forces under arms - into the Army of Republika Srpska and they allow him to keep all the weaponry and materiel that Belgrade had equipped him with.
What government would surrender a third of their armed forces to another country's command and control without registering a single complaint?
Here's a hint: no government would do that unless the other country was just a puppet state.
JNA was a federal army organised loosely on territorial principle. When Federal state fell apart, so did JNA.
It was not an army of Serbia as you attempt to mushroom us here.
All JNA personnel who was not born in Bosnia was ordered to withdraw after May 12 1992. Bosnians remained there.

The JNA certainly was a Serbian force during the war in Croatia, even if many Muslims were in it.

The issue was a difference between death camps and concentration camps. Apparently that was too much for you to understand. All sides ran concentration camps and prisons where all sorts of things took place, even murder, including recently by our forces in Iraq. Only the stupid cannot see that crimes are crimes no matter what side commits it. Can you relate to that?
